Author's Response: I'm writing as fast as I can what with classes and everything in RL.

Author's Response: Thank you, I'm glad you liked it.
Poor Harry! But a very good portrayal of a neglected, abused child. And I loved Severus' struggle between his duty as Head of Slytherin and the man who hated the Potters and now has to deal with their son. Thanks! Author's Response: Poor Harry, yes - but poor Severus - it isn't easy being him either, being all conflicted like that.
Whoo! What an awesome beginning!! Wow, lol I loved how Draco told Snape what Harry was doing - sleeping with his shoes as a pillow was the kicker. Great job. I loved the meeting Snape and Harry had and it was a good choice to have it from Snape's POV. One minor thing I noticed though was that you used some descriptive words for Harry a little too often - waif, the huge green eyes. Those descriptions need to be nestled in better and not used as casually. You have something here, and i'm really excited to read more. Everyone's in charcter, and once more, even with a Slytherin sorting, the Hogwarts universe and Snape being his teacher seems so canon the way he's going about it. Good job! Author's Response: Thanks for the feedback and kind words. I used the repeated descriptions on purpose. Snape doesn't see Harry as a person just now ... only as an annoying child. It will get better, I think.
Author's Response: Yes, it will definitely be Severus for Harry's mentor rather than Dumbledore. Somehow I don't think Dumbledore has it in him to understand what Harry's gone through. |
