Harry is very damaged. Even so, he is thinking (or you are making him think) more than the usual child does. Then again, to survive, he probably would have to think. I'm glad Grey no longer thinks Snape is abusing him. I'm a little worried about what Minerva will screw up before Snape picks him up again, but I can't wait to see what he does to the Dursley's!!!
Indeed, this is a longer chapter. And a cute one too.
Like Harry, I want to know where will he stay during the schoolyear? Will Snape keep teaching or will he be devoting all his time to Harry? Will they live in Hogwarts?
Now I'm really curious...
I'm also eager to read what Snape planned regarding the Dursleys and how Harry will react to McGonnagall, so please don't make us wait too long.
By the way, you needn't hassle us for reviews. Well, at least not me, because I love your story :-)

it's really quite funny to "hear" snape's irritated thoughts and then to see him be gentle with harry and defend him. methinks the man doth protest a little too much. he's fighting falling in love with the child tooth and nail it seems. can't wait to read your next post.

if i wasn't hooked on this story already, this chapter would have done it. i love the way snape is slowly coming to understand everything, it is a wonderful unfolding. the way he and gray handled harry's flashback was well and gently done. keep up the good work!

Thanks for the update. The flashbacks are very vivid. Snape's inner monologue is very revealing. Nicely balanced between the two points of view. Somehow I think the tailor is going to be a reoccuring visitor.

I loved that scene...when Harry was trying to assess his Snape's mind reading abilities..LOL! Too funny! =). Keep it up, this is a totally wonderful story and I can't wait until the next post. =).
