Interesting ending. I liked this story very much.
Oh, I'm enjoying reading this SO much. It's very poetic, how you have Severus responding to Harry.
I'm greatly enjoying reading this. There's a few little nit-picky things - for example Brit-isms; in this chapter for example, you mention Vernon having to buy Harry glasses; whereas they'd actually have been free for children (Vernon certainly wouldn't have spent any money on buying nicer ones than the NHS offers).
Overall though I'm very much enjoying myself and will go right on reading now!
Oh i like it. The way you right is spellbounding. Clear. Consise and to the point. I especially like this part:
"It was the most curious feeling.
It was like... magic.
The way sensation rushed from every point their bodies touched. The way something in the small fragile weight sitting on his hip was reaching into his chest, clutching at his heart, squeezing it.
It seemed Harry felt it too, for with a sigh, almost as if the puppet had had his strings cut, he lay his head on his father's shoulder.
"Daddy," he murmured, white hot heat of damp breath against the skin of Snape's neck.
Arms tightened, that mysterious magic spell shifting through him like blood through veins, like a living thing. Severus breathed in the child's scent and a word pulsed in his brain.
Mine."
Oh that last part was brilliant. You can almost feel the possessiveness take hold of him before he's even given it another thought its enraptured him.
Can't wait to read one.
This story is great so far, i really like your style, the dialogue between Snape and Dumbles is masterfully crafted, not too strained or implausible but pitched just right to be realistic. Well done.

I absolutely adore this story! Little Harry is enchanting, and I love the way Snape justifies his decisions to himself.

Don't aspire to be like me, child.
That is the perfect line for Severus. This whole chapter makes me cry everytime I read it. This is so beautiful.
