I dunno if I have mentioned to you before how much I really like this story. I especially think your Snape is dead on. And I can see canon Harry falling apart like this, and fighting so hard not to let it happen.
This is excellent so far!
Good story so far. In the first chapter, Vernon backhanded Harry and said something like "i've been wanting to do this forever" but yet in this chapter, Snape sees Harry's memories of Vernon smacking him around. That little tidbit did not seem to line up properly. Great story so far though!

I started reading your story once again and because it's still unfinished here I had to go to ff.net to finish it. I love it! You have everything right. Severus is his snarky self. Harry is strong and stubborn. Horses. A fine combination of exitement and warmht. Please do write more!
