OMG I am rolling in a puddle of angst and I couldn't be happier! Harry needs help, he needs Snape, and now he feels rejected... Oh My Heart! Snape just doesn't understand how much Harry needs him, or that anyone could need him that way... and OH the feels that will be coming his way when he sees how Harry is suffering. Have I mentioned how much I freaking love this fic???
I started reading this story years ago, but I never finished the chapters that had already been published, I wanted to finish the story on my own terms and not because I ran out of chapters to read. I was so happy when I saw the update here! I think I read the story elsewhere the first time. Yeah, anyways it's amazing that you started writing it again, and I love every second of it. And I got a bit distracted by your story, hence my review after a totally random chapter. But it was brilliant just like the rest.
Author's Response: Thank you for reviewing! I'm so happy that you're enjoying OME! I LOVE it when you pause to tell me, but don't feel bad if you don't either! :)
Loved it, especially how much Harry wants to connect with others and how much he thinks he doesn't deserve it. It really plays well with they way the Dursleys treated him over the years, like he was a bother. Your characterization in on point in my opinion.
Author's Response: Thank you for the review! Yes, poor Harry, dealing with that. Sigh, that kid needs a hug or twelve.

Lovely to have you back and the story continuing. Oh dear poor Harry! Just when he seems to be out of the woods the two people who should be there for him have let him down, I would like to shake both of them! Thank you for a great chapter
Author's Response: Thank you for the review! Yes, both boys are overdue for a good shake!
I made an account on this site today, just to leave a review for this story. I have enjoyed this work so much. I've been checking every weekend to see if it's been updated. You left us on such an emotional note last chapter, I was afraid this might be the beginning of a hiatus. I'm glad to see you're back! I hope you enjoyed your vacation.
This chapter was great. I'm curious to learn what Snape is working on, but even more so, I'm excited to see how Harry works through his abandonment issues again. I'm hoping for some juicy juicy drama in the chapters to come. Mr. You-Should-Be-My-Son, certainly isn't acting like he wants to be a father. Can't wait for more!
Author's Response: Aw I'm so glad you like OME that much!! Thank you thank you for letting me know! And ooh it would be so much fun to get to the point where Snape would actively act like a father figure to Harry. I could see myself getting to do much more of that if I write a sequel. :) Thank you for the review and I hope you continue to enjoy the story!

What a happy surprise to see your update! I was wondering if after that last chapter we might get another from Snape's pov. Because of course we were left bereft! Poor Sweet Harry all of the adults are failing him again. And we see that addiction looming. I hope he gives Snape and Remus hell someday. But really Dumbledore and Minerva are just as bad. I expect a bit from a headmaster and head of house. But,,, it seems this story isn't ending soon so I am grateful!;;

Author's Response: I think Snape's POV was a one-time thing. I have considered a Snape POV epilogue, but I'm leaning towards simply telling the rest from Harry's POV. Too much split POV and Snape loses some of his mystery. ;) Thanks so much for the review!!

I was SO happy to discover that you've continued writing this story!!! This used to be one of my favourites on this site and I've even come back to re-read it a couple of times over the years. I love how you characterize both Harry and Snape and that you're taking your time to develop their bond. I've had the best time reading the updates since the hiatus. My favourite moments where the conversation they had when Snape discovered Harry talking to his snake friend and the emotional build up to and pay off in the scene where they finally talked about Lily. I'm also really intrigued about Harry's new abilities and where you're going with that. I really feel for Harry at the end of this chapter. Of course Snape would try to brush off everything that happened... Can't wait to find out how you're going to bring them together.
Author's Response: Thank you so much for the review! I'm so happy that you're enjoying reading the updated chapters! It's been fun to work on this story again. :)
Amazing chapter! Of course we know Snape's misguided internal logic, so we know he isn't being *intentionally* vicious, but unfortunately, it's an absolutely devastating choice. That poor, sweet kid. Snape is going to have to work pretty hard to undo this new damage.
Also, I hope you're enjoying/you enjoyed your vacation! I'm absolutely dying to read more, though. Hahaha.
Author's Response: Yes, the poor, sweet kid is right. Snape had better get his act in gear before the damage he inflicted is permanent. Thanks for the review!! :)
