    hey! i read your story when you first started it (what was that 10-15 years ago?). i happened upon fanfiction again and was so glad to come across your story again and see that you have been updating. :) you are a great writer, keep up the great work! cant wait for the next update.

    I'm trying to do a better job of reviewing fics I'm reading (I know it means alot to the authors, and it's the least I can do to show my appreciation). I just wanted to tell you that I absolutely ADORE your story! Your characterizations of everyone are just so good. I love the pace you're talking with Harry and Snape's relationship; it really makes everything seem more real. I can't wait to see what Harry uncovers about Snape's past, and to see just what is going on with Voldemort seemingly knowing about headquarters...and hopefully there's some insight into what's going on with Ron, too. Thank you for the update!

Sometimes I feel like it's going too slow, but it wouldn't feel natural to me to go any faster, so...yeah. We'll have to wait a few more chapters to find out what's up with both Ron and Voldemort, but I hope the waiting is worth it! Thank you for reading and reviewing. :)

    Woohoo!!! I could not contain my excitement when I saw this story was being updated! I first read it so long ago that I don't remember it as clearly as I would like, and I'm probably going to have to go back and re-read the earlier chapters, but I was too excited to read the new chapters first, haha! These were fantastic chapters and I am so excited for the next chapter. So much going on! I really like your portrayal of occlumency lessons in particular. I have read a lot of Harry Potter fanfiction, but I don't think I've ever read it described in this way, and it is very believable and engaging. I really hope Remus will be okay, and I am on the edge of my seat wondering if Voldemort actually can get into grimmauld place! Thank you for not giving up on the story even though it has been so long, and coming back strong with so many wonderful chapters!

I'm so glad that you're enjoying the story! :) I admit I was worried that after being absent from the site for so many years, nobody would be interested in the story anymore. I'd determined to finish it anyway, for the sake of finished projects, but it is soooooo much more fun and satisfying to know that others are enjoying the process alongside me! So thank you! And I'm really glad that you like my take on Occlumency. :)

    Hi there! Sorry it took me so long to read, New Year in Russia is something that pushes everything else out of one's mind -_-

    Okay, I loved the scene with Snape, and the "Do you have any idea how much effort has gone into ensuring that?" comment is priceless)))) Very curious what turn things are gonna take now)))

    Ooh are you from Russia or visiting? That's one place I'd love to visit, but it's so large that I'd have no idea where to start. Saint Petersburg or Moscow maybe...I've seen some beautiful pictures. Or maybe I just plan something around the Trans-Siberian Railroad?

    Ha, I liked writing that line. I could just feel Snape's exhaustion and exasperation with this impulsive teenager that he's been tasked with protecting and who doesn't make it easy to do so. Add in the fact that he might maybe sort of be starting to care what happens to the kid, and it's quite the point of annoyance, ha. Thanks for the review! I hope your New Year was fantastic!

    I meant that Harry is reacting more to a certain stabilizing presence than any abstract sense of smell or touch or whatever, at least that is an impression I've got)

    I'm kinda starting to get the feeling that it's not just any sense if touch that helps Harry strengthen his mind...

    *Nudge. Nudgenudgenudge.* Like that? Ha, I could see how that could get annoying, so I promise I'll leave the nudges to a minimum lol! Thank you for the review - I love hearing what you think. Yeah, Harry's pretty sensory. Smell is his dominant sense, but I also think that touch works marginally well, hence some of his initial confusion.
