Great chapter, as always. The occlumency stuff definitely isn't boring. I love the way you're doing this.

Author's Response: Thank you!! I'm glad you are enjoying the Occlumency and hope you like the next bit of it too! :) (Sorry for the delayed response - the month got away from me.)

I'm so hooked on this story. I remember starting reading it when you first started publishing it but I never told you how much I loved it. I really hope you will continue updating it. Awesome characterization!

Author's Response: Thank you for the review! (And sorry it took me so long to respond - life got a little crazy.) It makes me so happy to hear that you liked it back in the day! And that you're still interested in reading it! I did wonder how many people might care about it after so long, so I really appreciate you letting me know. It's huge motivation. :)

This was a great chapter! I loved how detailed your representation of the mind processes is, and also Snape is beginning to give in, while still being Snape) That's huge)
I might do the NaNoWriMo because I need to finish a story for a friend, but it's slash >.

    Author's Response:

Thank you! I'm so glad that you like both Snape and the pace. :) Unfortunately, Real Life has been kicking me in the behind the past couple weeks, and because of that I haven't had a chance to finish Chapter 28, so it won't be posted until December now. Sorry. :( But hey...it's not a decade this time, so I still get an Exceeds Expectations, right? ;)

If you want a NaNo buddy to keep you motivated, you can add me: ChaiGirl. I'm lagging slightly behind the word count goal, but not by too much. I just have to accept that some days I can write a lot and some days barely anything. It's the daily habit that matters. :) Good luck on your story!

Wow! They both agreed that they didn’t try very hard with learning/teaching occlumency. That’s a big step. I’m looking forward to seeing how the lesson turns out. Thank you for the update.

Author's Response: Thank you for the note! And sorry for the delay in responding - Real Life getting in my way... Next chapter won't be out until December because I didn't get it done before NaNoWriMo. But I can't wait to find out what you think about the rest of the lesson. :)

Is this story planned until the end of summer or the conclusion of the war? I hope for the latter.

Can you imagine the power of a twister of love would have on Tom?

I haven't looked forward to updates so much in a long time...

    Author's Response:

Thank you for the review! I like the way you think with the love twister! :)

When I started writing this story back in 2007, I planned it as a summer-only fic. Then I was having so much fun with it that it grew and grew in my imagination until I’d plotted out multiple story arcs for a year-long, possibly even two-year-long, whole-war story. Unfortunately, that led to me feeling overwhelmed and not sure whether I could put that much writer’s sweat and tears into it…which I think played a large part in my abandonment of it. In order to complete it this time around, I’ve reined it back in to its original plan. Summer only (though it may overlap with the beginning of the school year), and it won’t cover the whole war. However, we’ll get some answers by the end of OME as to how Harry will be able to defeat Voldemort. So it will have a certain amount of war resolution.

Anyway, I do have plenty of material already worked out if down the road, I want to do a sequel to conclude the war. I just can’t even think about or commit to that until this story is done and wrapped up with a neat bow or I’ll go crazy. ;)

Woah, this was awesome. The emotions, the descriptions wholly captivated me. Amazing job taking us through the journey. I thought this chapter was going to be boring based on the title. Boy, was I wrong. Phew! The potion was really interesting as well as the actual meld, the memories, the exercise. Poor Harry with his trauma. I half expected Snape to be angry at how traumatized Harry was. But nope! He was angry that Harry was a natural and not trying. I really liked that Harry stood his ground about that. Snape is as much to blame, if not more. He was the adult.

Fantastic chapter as always. Thank you for the update!!!

Author's Response: Aw thank you so much! I'm relieved that you weren't bored. Hmm...maybe I should change the title. Something like "Amazing Adventures in Occlumency" or "Harry and Snape Mind Read"? ;) That would get someone's attention, hehe. I'm so glad that you liked Harry standing his ground. They really both were at fault, but you're right - Snape was the adult. He needs to accept responsibility. Thank you so much for taking the time to give me your thoughts and encouragement!!

I promise you that this "boring occlumency stuff" is not at all boring. this is the most interested take on occlumency that I have EVER read. love it!

Author's Response: Aw thank you! I had a few different ideas about how to do the Occlumency lesson, and this one was the one I thought I'd most want to read, so that's what I wrote. I'm so glad that you liked it!! Thanks for taking the time to let me know. :)

This story is absolutely amazing! Your characterizations are so accurate. I like the slow changes being made in Harry and Snape's relationship because it just feels so much more like them. This chapter was one of my favorites so far. I was interested in how you were going to portray the first Occlumency lesson, and you did not disappoint. Can't wait to read more!

Author's Response: Thank you so much!! I'm so happy that you're enjoying it. :) I'm glad that you like the pace of their relationship. Sometimes I worry it's going too slow (even though it's going faster than it probably would in real life). But it's the pace I feel comfortable with, and I don't want to rush anything. So it makes me happy to hear positive feedback about it. :)

Author's Response: Hi there! So glad you enjoyed it! And now you don't have to wait as long for the next chapter, so - win! ;)
