Reviews For O Mine Enemy
in 6 hours, and oh , you're not finishing it - Drat, drat, I need more of this gripping , fun intelligent portrayal of Potter/Snape hesitant bonding and friendship, trust, all of it.. Please Tell us, If you have abandoned it, or... so we may'give up hope, all who enter' (Divina Commedia by Dante) in reading. you write so well... And I can hear our dear, incomparable Alan Rickman in those tart rejoinders, see him in those hasty, powerful actions to help the boy, still so much a child - ah, *not parental at all, Prof. Severus Snape, Potions Master* Oh, bl.st it, Pleeze, authoress, take it up again, write more, give us more of a finish. we truly need it. (scowling moodily at the screen)
Hm. Yes. So, hi, how are you, I'm fine. I see you have a note on your author page from 2013 that says you're not done with this story. I see that it's late 2014 now. I don't like the odds. But you have written one helluva story here, whether it ever gets done or not. I just wish I didn't have a preference, either way. But I doooooooooo. Ain't that just a wrench. You mentioned that reviews help you to write--which is the only reason I'm reviewing a story from friggin' 2008. Look: I'm not really even into fandoms that much, living under a rock as I do, but even *I* have been through, like, four fandoms since 2008. And that's just fandoms, let's not mention life itself. But maybe it's time for you to get back to your roots? Anyway, about this story. It's well-written. Well-plotted. Suspenseful. And usually in stories like this, Dumbledore is evil, eee-vil like the fru-eets of the deveel, but you've managed to write Dumbledore...similar to the books. He's flawed, but still honestly means well. And Harry is...age-appropriate. I mean, he's not acting too young or too old, which is another trap in stories like this. He's believably a 16-year-old kid, trying to figure out his way. AND SNAPE GIVES NOTHING AWAY. I loveses him. And the plot. And the way you've set up these visions. Like, I totally believe you have the rest of this story planned out, because it's been so careful. And I have a weakness in my heart for careful fanfic. And, anyway. I know my chances here. 2008, man. 2008. (sigh) So. Congrats on what you have, here. Six years later, it's still pretty good. Yup.
It smelled of comfort. And protection. It smelled like safety.
"The security code you entered did not match. Please try again." I get this message every single time I try to review. It always takes at least two or three tries for me to submit a review and every time the code is correct. Dad burn it!! |
