Psssssssst hey. Your story is really super and I love it a ton (ohmygoodnessiloveitsomuch) But I think I died a little inside when I saw you hadn't updated in five years.... I just want you to know that if you ever decide to delve back into the dark depths of this black hole that is fanfiction, I'll be here. Waiting.
If not I hope you enjoy your life.

Very few people can hint at things without making the characters seem stupid for not figuring them out. That you walk that balance so deftly is impressive. Also, this is the only story about Snape I've read that manages to keep him a jerk and still build a believable, enjoyable relationship between him and Potter. Finally, the story is awesome. Thank you.
Your story is wondeful please don't abandon it.
I hope you continue to update - good luck

Okay, so I've read and reread chapters from this story numerous times, and (even though I love them all) your portrayal of Harry in this one is honestly wonderful, from his excitement over codes to his opinions on trust. Not to mention it's far more nuanced than the Harry that JKR sometimes gives us. By that I don't mean that your Harry isn't canon--he definitely is. I just mean that imo you manage to portray aspects of Harry's character that JKR seems to have forgotten about near the end of the series. I mean, in the first few books Harry is already very grave and righteous for a boy, but at the same time he's curious, adventurous, and has quite a clever mouth. And what I love here is the way you draw out all of those qualities, instead of focusing solely on Harry-the-righteous-soldier, as is often done in canon. Basically, what I'm trying to say is you've got a very layered (and sympathetic) character here; and the same goes for Snape. Which is why I really really hope you find the time/chance to continue this story! :)

I am thoroughly enjoying this story. Harry and Severus' developing relationship is proceeding quite plausibly! Keep writing (:
ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! PLEASE UPDATE SOON! Also can you please have Harry's future wife (If you show that future or have an epilogue) be Hermione? that would be so beautiful and romantic since Harry and Hermione always seem to have that "soul-mate" air about them both in bks and the movies.

You haven't updated in two years. And u Saidd u were getting back on track. Gah I like this story. Please update. The end of the story should be Harry hugging snape :)
This is...well, an amazing story. Such a unique take on Snape and Harry's relationship-- you really make them *get* there, if you know what I mean. They don't just wake up one day and feel totally different for one another. I particularly like that even seeing Harry's life at the Dursley's didn't make Snape turn into a big cuddly teddy bear (well, okay, *bat*, more like, but it's the "big cuddly" part that counts). What he found out about Harry was enough to change a lot of things, but not who Snape *is*, and he'll always be the king of snark, even if, eventually, it lacks the malice it once did.
I see in your profile as of a year ago you didn't consider this story abandoned, and I sincerely hope that's true! This is one of my favorites and I would very much love to see its continuation. What you've given me already is totally amazing, and I'm eager and hopeful that, when you are able and willing, I'll get to see more.
Cheers!
