Reviews For O Mine Enemy
Death by suspense. Whoever thought it couldn't happen was wrong, my dead body will be proof of it. I'll leave something for you in my will. Ok, enough with the weirdness, (grin) I loved this chapter! I squeled when I heard that you had updated. There might be a few people a few miles away who didn't here me. Lol. :) I loved how you explained Harry's fear and how Snape responded. Cool Snape, calm Snape. Hehe! Or calm most of the time his scream fest was very fun to read about. When tempers rise the readers will cheer! The Chapter end notes and when Harry was thinking to himself in this chapter had a lot of (if's) in it. I think I understood how Harry must have been feeling. Nothing is clear, anything can happen, may the force be with you. Lol, I really hope you will write a sequel after this one. Thank you for updating! I love it when I have new material to read. A new chapter from this story is better then chocalate! Well now you know what happens when I review late at night when I should be (yawn!) sleeping. I hope I didn't ramble to much, thanks for responding to my last review. Only a few authors do that and I really like to hear responses. Great chapter and great story. :) You make my life complete! :) Scorpia
I love how things depend not only on Harry trusting Snape, but on Snape trusting Harry. Snape has some real doubts about the plan and maybe, once he sees a seemingly invincible Voldemort, he will decide to stay on the winning side and leave Harry in the basement... (ok, I'm betting that you won't give us such a horribly bleak ending, but maybe it's something that Harry will come to fear?) Seriously, I'm getting chills just thinking of what that poor kid is going to be facing. And Snape too... having to play the part of nasty death eater to the point where he might have to torture Harry... *shudder* Because Snape has already done things in this story that demonstrate care for Harry (not that he'll admit it), things that go beyond immediately preserving Harry's life. And now to have to torture the child... You've set up such an absorbing, painful and thorny situation for them both, and I can foresee a series of chapters that end on gut-wrenching cliffhangers. I liked their conversation at the end there, and I also want to know all the reasons Snape was so hell-bent on hating Harry. But right now, at this point, he didn't say, "Potter, I hate you." He said, "Potter, I don't like you." (which from Snape is practically a declaration of love). So he doesn't hate Harry anymore, though Harry probably doesn't get that yet - and Snape probably doesn't realize it either. They're both so dense about these things. And Harry's worst fear is so real and wrenching. I wish Snape would just give him a hug already. But I like how you're pacing their relationship. Your story is seriously one of the best out there, and I hope you update soon!
“Once. I sneered; you cried. It was very satisfying.” **I laughed outloud. I shouted for joy when I saw you had updated and received strange looks. But honestly, the fact that you updated just made my entire weekend. So thank you. Harry was perfect in this chapter--his uncertainty, the way he kept awkwardly smoothing down his fringe, his outbursts. I love how you've characterized him. Your Snape is quite witty, which makes me adore him. You've added dry humor to this story, which I completely love. I marvel at your ability to keep Snape in character for so long. Makes me want to throw my story onto the floor and smash it with my shoe. I wonder if their mentor-ish relationship will develop any further--they aren't close by any means but it's strangely satisfying to read. The dialogue---oh, yes the dialogue--is stunning. And it's so realistic with all of Harry's 'ums' and 'ers'... And now, I'm nervous. The thought of Harry locked away in a dark basement is quite terrifying. But I can't wait to see what you do with this story. You know how to keep your audience in healthy suspense ;) This was brilliant, as always. And long (thank you!) Write soon!
Great chapter! Can't decided if I love the cliffy or hate it. Oh well, update soon. Did I mention this was an amazing chapter? Author's Response: Thanks for the review! I certainly hope it's love, not hate... ;)
I LOVE misunderstandings! There so fun add Harry and Snape and there that much better! Author's Response: Yes, misunderstandings are the spice of life. ;) Or, okay, maybe the resolving of understandings is a little bit cooler...
Your way is better. Lol :) I am rereading the whole story. I have read it on fanfiction net and here but I like reading it here better because I can make the text bigger. I really like the scene were Harry is eating those canned peaches, Sluurrp! Lol Scorpia Author's Response: Yum...I'm getting a craving right now for canned peaches myself! LOL!
I like how you wrote the Dursleys. A lot of people write them as being totally horrible so much so that it's just not beleivable. Your way is belivable. Poor Harry! Getting that carpet clean is going to be a big pain in the you no what! Lol Author's Response: Thank you so much for your reviews, Scorpia! I always get so excited when I get reviews from people starting at the beginning or re-reading my stories because it's like a special gift! :) Thanks for the insights!
Author's Response: Hello! Yes, that does mean a new chapter is coming soon. :) I'm about 3/4 done with the next update...though judging by my boss's temperament this week, I probably won't be able to write the other 1/4 until the weekend. Either way, it's in the works - thanks for asking!
Author's Response: Don't die! Don't die! :) Thanks for the review. I hate that I've had to leave people hanging for so long, what with school & holidays, but please stay tuned for more updates! It makes me so happy to read reviews like this. ;) |
