Reviews For O Mine Enemy
LOL. I am totally going to call detentions that from now on. Well, except for the fact that you don't get detentions when you're at uni ... but we'll think of something XD Plus, this was the best line, in my opinion: "Well, no other wizard, that is…but thinking of Dobby’s methods of helping him wasn’t really much comfort." So I was reading what other people have written in their reviews, and I just realised that I am majorly not serious. Seriously XD Author's Response: Seriousness is highly overrated. Seriously. :P I love to hear people's favorite lines. It makes me happy!
I wish I had a Dumbledore to say nice things and be all reassuring and see the best in me ... XD Yeah, I totally imprisoned myself in my house when DH came out. No one was allowed in and no one was coming out XD 'Twas just me and mah book XD Snapey - you have points for being all frank with Dumbledore, and for admitting to him that Harry has had it bad with his relatives. Plus maybe some extra points because I KNOW that you are relating with Harry XD Harry: ... maybe you can get some points back for admitting everything to Remus after losing practically all of them for shouting at him XD Dumbledore: You are just awesome XD Author's Response: :) I'm glad you're giving everyone some points in this chapter. You get points from me for leaving nice reviews!
--Harry noticing that Snape's voice was gentle when he spoke to him, and thinking that he'd heard that gentleness before in his dreams. At least, Snape's speaking kindly while Harry's awake now, even if it was just the once. --Dumbledore putting Harry and Snape in their places when they want to snipe at each other. I chuckled aloud at Dumbledore's telling Snape to act the part of the responsible adult. --The idea of McGonagall being confronted with prophesizing Trelawney. --The whole second Prophecy. And to answer your question, Yes, I do believe Snape is really and truly on Harry's side. He'd better be if he knows what's good for him, anyway! I can't wait for the next chapter Author's Response: Thank you for listing examples of what you liked! That always makes my day! :) I'm glad you have faith in Snape. It's hard to do the right thing if no one has faith in you... ;)
I really do love how bratty Harry can be sometimes. After all, that's practically a teenager's main profession! Just a quick review between getting back from uni and popping off to work XD If I'm not too tired I'll start working on the next seven chapters tonight XD Author's Response: hehe - I like that you like bratty Harry. :) I'm not trying to make him a prat, understand, but if he were perfect, he wouldn't be any fun to write or read about!
LOL. You are so out of your depth, Snapey. And just think: first come hugs, then comes LUFF! I think tolerance should appear somewhere in there, but the order is already so mixed up so meh, whatever XD I told you that Petunia is the manipulative one. Vernon is just stupid. You have skyrocketed in terms of points, Snapey. Firstly because you hugged Harry (no matter how reluctantly) and secondly because you messed up the Dursley's garden XD Harry: You have always had the maximum amount of points simply because you are Harry and because you are the device by which Snape will eventually turn into puddles of affection for XD You'll see C: Author's Response: Yay! Snape has more points now! He wouldn't tell you this himself, but he's secretly pleased. (Don't tell him I told you, of course. He'll deny it.)
"Harry unceremoniously landed in a heap, face down on a mound of dirt and leaves." I like how you don't let us forget that Harry is still an adolescent - all elbows and knees and whatever XD Oh, and I found this awesome quote that applies to Snape: "You are not superior just because you see the world in an odious light. – Vicomte de Chateaubriand (1768 – 1848)" Yeah. Sharing is caring, right? XD Author's Response: Name calling. Does that mean Snape's down in points again? Aw, poor Snape...he was so happy, too. That is a GREAT quote! I LOVE it! Can I use it in my story somehow? Not sure how yet, I just really, really want to, haha!
Ok, that's hilarious because that is the exact same pose my mum adopts when she is pissed at me XD Snape: Any points you gained for making me laugh at your expense were hastily removed for being an insensitive git. Sorry. On another note, I'm glad we finally sorted out that whole snitch-dream thing XD Plus: Hogsmeade gets pwned? Ah, poor Harry, just what he needs - another weight added to his shoulders and strange dreams with a Doppelganger who can see the future. Well, at least they're not of Voldemort XD Author's Response: Tell your mom to act like Snape when she's upset, and I bet you'll be running for your life soon... No need to apologize to Snape. He doesn't care anyway. But let's put him in an enclosed space with Harry for about a month and see if THAT makes any difference... ;)
You are almost too sneaky, Harry C: You might have got away with it, too, except Snape is the Head of Slytherin and all that. Plus a master spy x) Snapey - your points are dropping yet again. I know that you are injured and that Harry is like your archnemesis and all that, but YOU are the adult in this relationship, not to mention a professor, and Harry is obviously injured as well. Give him a go on the bed for once XD Author's Response: Yes, Harry should really think next time he tries to out-Slytherin the head of Slytherin. ;) I wondered if anyone would comment on the bed situation, hehe. Horrible of Snape, truly horrible. I don't think it even occured to him to offer it!
I just want you to know that that is absolutely perfect because usually reading about a boring situation is as boring as being in said boring situation. But you have made it very funny and un-boring XD Vernon Dursley: you still haven't overcome Petunia in my list of evul!characters in Harry Potter, because I suspect she is rather smarter than you and her damage to Harry has been more emotional, rather than physical. You can't fault a stupid man for being stupid, after all - unless you are Severus Snape of course, who doesn't suffer fools and, let me tell you, Vernon, you are practically the definition of stupid. I bet they have your mugshot right next to it, in fact XD Snapey: You are slowly gaining points with me. Firstly, you weren't overly cruel or sadistic - though I guess some people think that the truth is cruel. Secondly, you have started up an exchange of information with Harry, which is one step in the long, winding road towards SNAPE/HARRY LUFF (or, you know, tolerance, whatever XD) and world peace XD Author's Response: I agree with you completely on the Vernon vs. Petunia debate! I think Vernon is the more volatile and damaging in certain ways, definitely, but Petunia is worse in my mind because I really do think she's a little more intelligent and has more sense of what she actually is doing to Harry. Right on!
“Sorry. Thanks a whole heaping lot for messing up my room, Sir.” I have never guffawed in my life, but I think I did when I read that entire bit - Harry you cheeky little bastard you XD HARREH - you are at the top of my list of favourite characters purely because you have managed to completely disgust Snape. The peaches sound nice - I wish I had a can to slurp from 8D Author's Response: I'm glad you liked that line - I had fun writing it! hehe. And yes, that chapter gave me quite the craving for messy, sticky peaches. |
