Great chapter! Snape is going to feel all special that he has a prophecy all about him. I wonder if he is going to be happy about playing THAT big a role in the war. Can't wait for more.

    I LOVE THIS STORY.

    Author's Response:

Aw! I LOVE THIS REVIEW! :)

Yes, I wonder if he will be happy playing that big a role in the war...assuming he finds out about the prophecy at all, that is... ;)

    mmm...*munches some cheerios*

yes, i take "food for thought" rather literally. so sue me. *smirks*

fascinating chapter! at the end, i swear you sounded like one of those little announcer things at the end of a tv episode, asking a bunch of questions and dun-dun-dunning and the oh-so classic stay tuned at the end! XD

any suspicions i had about harry's so-called inner eye were only heightened by this chapter...not sure if it's just paranoia, or whether i'm justified! everything's just a bit too...clean, maybe? hmmm...and the way he remembers stuff after they exist...tampering with memory, or something?

okay, i just reread half your chapter looking for that line that made me wonder...found it!

It was like…maybe a part of himself has been holding the memories for him, so he’d be able to recall them.

    so suspicious....

anyway, i guess i'm just a paronoid belle at the moment, but these new developments are fascinating!

    loved the chapter!

    Author's Response:

Yay! *munches on yummy reviews* I LOVE long reviews, and I've received so many this chapter, I'm simply thrilled! :)  Yours being the first, of course!

I'm glad you heard my announcer voice...I practice nightly.  And I certainly hope I'm not to blame if you leap into paranoia...I don't want the horrible responsibility of having destroyed your sanity or something.  Eek!  I'm curious what you mean by 'clean,' though...

    Thanks for the review, belle!

Another great chapter! I enjoyed it, especially the Dumbledore/Snape/Harry interaction. You write them all wonderfully in-character.

I can't blame Harry a bit for being so upset at the idea of Dumbledore sending him back to the Dursleys, especially now that he knows how truly bad it is. Even in canon, I always felt Dumbledore (much as I love him) should have done more to protect Harry.

Harry might have had to have lived at Privet Drive (though I think he'd have been safe at Hogwarts under Dumbledore's protection, too), but certainly Dumbledore could have insisted that the Dursleys treat Harry better.

Ah, well, sorry to get off the point. Back to your wonderful story. I have a feeling thought, that Snape will have a say in it too. Either flatly refusing to allow Harry to go back or volunteering to go with him. Now that would be interesting to see--one glower from Snape and the Dursleys would probably be waiting on Harry.

And Harry really is seeing the future, hmm? That could be scary, considering what all he's seen. I'm looking forward to the next chapter!

    Author's Response:

Thank you for the review! I am so happy that you like my characterizations - it puts smiles on my face! :)

hehe, I like the thought of Snape glowering the Dursleys into submission, especially once they truly know what devious deeds that man is capable of committing...hehe.

Stay tuned! I'm done with the next chapter - just need to revise it. It should be up tonight (9/3). I look forward to hearing what you think!

Great interaction in this chapter. The introduction of CAPSLOCK!Harry was believable, but I'm glad you were able to get him to calm down. Nice way of showing that Harry and Snape are slowly coming to an understanding. And the ending of the chapter was nicely done. Poor Harry really has a lot to think about, and he can't be sure that Snape will believe him now.

    Author's Response:

Thank you for the review! I'm glad to hear you liked the way it played out. Please keep reading - I enjoy reading your reviews! :)

Wow. This chapter sort of blasted straight through the computer screen and into my brain.

I liked the Dumbledore-Harry vs. Harry-Snape dynamic during the conversation about the Dursleys. How Harry is slowly recognizing that even though Snape is unpleasant, he can trust him. Maybe even more than Dumbledore, about certain things. Snape's reaction to the cupboard revelation was also done well - understated, but you can feel the impact it had on him.

Dumbledore was also well-written. You balance out the fact that he wants to win the war and in one sense must see Harry as a weapon or as a soldier with a role to play; on the other hand, you can feel that he'd rather not, and you see how sad it seems to make him when he upsets Harry and makes these incredible demands of him. I can buy into this Dumbledore - he's manipulative and he thinks strategy, but he doesn't seem to relish doing so. The war is taking a toll on him.

And then, those prophetic words at the end. Will Harry tell Snape and Dumbledore what they mean? Will he ask Dumbledore about the second prophecy? (assuming he remembers what the 'other Harry' said about it). I'm guessing this will be the first thing the next chapter deals with, because they're bound to ask why he dropped his glass, and he needs to convince them that he can't block these dreams, which might actually relate the future.

The sugar plum, how you inserted it, really was a big shock. I'd sort of forgotten about those words myself, kind of like Harry, and now it all clicked.

I really hope you post soon again. Yours is one of the few stories I'd like to see regularly updated.

    Author's Response:

Hello! I'm a little slow on responding to reviews this week - forgive me! :)  Thank you for telling me how much you liked it - especially the thoughts about Dumbledore. I very much agree with your analysis of his conflicts of strategy vs. caring. I feel for him, I really do.

The next chapter will be up soon, as will the answers to your questions! Please keep reading! :)

    *squeals*

OMG I LOVE YOU!!! Yes, an update!!! I've been waiting for a new chapter for ages! Thank you! ^___^

Your story just keeps getting better and better! Poor Harry. *hugs him* (When are Snape and Harry gonna cuddle again? Odd question, I know, but it's just that whenever they mention the poor boy's nightmares and awful treatment from the Dursleys, I so wish for someone to give him a hug!)

Oh, and Harry's dreams are getting more and more interesting! (I can't believe you ended the chapter on a cliffie like that! Gaaargh! But I guess it's good in the way it makes me want to read more...) I can't wait to see how things develop, especially now that Harry seems to be clairvoyant! Anyway, great chapter to a great story - please update soon!!!

    Author's Response:

I love you too!!! hehe :)

Maybe stories ought to come with a cuddle guarantee so you know before you start a story what you're getting yourself into. ;)  Can't guarantee when or how much development you'll see right away, but I'll go so far as to promise a few *awww* moments before you're through with this fic.
