    This is terrific - I'm completely absorbed. I love this view of Snape. He's an intelligent, complex man.

    That's what I like about canon Snape - as horrible as he is to everyone around him, he is so incredibly intelligent.  I'm glad I was able to preserve some of that in my story.  Thanks for the review!

    Author's Response: I just hope they don't do serious damage to each other first...I'd hate to see the bonding take place in the hospital wing, wouldn't you?  Well, on second thought, Madam Pomfrey could probably do a sufficient job of restraining them...  Anyway, this was my long way of saying thank you for reviewing!

    Perfect Hermione voice. And now that Harry is cheered up a little, maybe he and Snape can approach a little better understanding.

    hehe...the belle is continuing her little reviewing mission! besides, she is shamelessly addicted to her review responses. *nods* they make her feel very happy.

    ooo...pufferfish anatomy! must be fascinating to study that firsthand, huh Harry?!

    i swear, i love reading some of the stuff snape comes up with! it's brilliant!

    i thought the whole ministry cover-up of azkaban was very realistic for canon-iness...i can just imagine them scurrying about in their little offices and weaving up a little story to publish!

    ha, and yes, i caught that, "yes, ron, you can have my broomstick if...you know..."

    trust our favorite wheezy to be the epitome of tact!

    the part where snape stopped before saying spoiled was kinda sweet, actually.

    ugh, sweet isn't the right word!

    well i don't know, but it made my heart get all swelly and look proudly at snape and harry and want to give them a gold medal for achievements of mankind.

    there, my descriptions of emotion have improved dramatically, haven't they?

    Let me just say: I'm glad I've never met a pufferfish. I think Snape is a brilliant guy (and I'm glad - I'd never be able to write him if he didn't tell me what he wants to say). That ministry - sheesh - will they ever grow up? And I love Ron's lack of tact, don't you? :)

    Yes, your descriptions of emotion are excellent - I actually swelled a little right alongside you at hearing it put like that.  Though I wouldn't tell Snape he's "sweet" quite yet.  He might have you for dinner.

    Great chapter! I'm glad Harry got to see his friends in person rather than always owling them. Is Snape going to make him cut up potions ingredients for the rest of the summer or something?

    Author's Response: If Snape had his way (and if it were legal), I think instead of having Harry cut up potions ingredients all summer, he might use Harry as a main ingredient.  But that's just my impression... ;)  Maybe he'll come around...or maybe not...  Keep posted!  And thanks for the review!

    Excellent! Excellent! I've finally caught up with my reading! Terrific chapter! So much happened! I thought that Harry's interaction between Ron and Hermione was spot on! I'm really happy that Harry told them about the prophecy! Now that Harry hasn't got all of the O.W.L's that he needs in order to continue on, I wonder what he is going to do. Perhaps Snape will ask Harry what he got on his O.W.Ls or Harry will ask Snape for some leeway. Well anyway, I can't wait to find out what happens next! I really hope that you will update very soon.

    That was totally like Snape! Trust Snape to make Harry forget about the dream he had by making him disembowel toads. Aww..maybe Snape really does care for Harry! I'm just kidding. It's probably waaay to early in the story for something like that to happen yet! However, I thought it was nice (again, gasp!) that instead of just telling Harry to go to bed, he gave him something to do to take his mind off of things. The scene with Dobby was perfect! Ha ha! Harry should know better by now that it is never a good idea to offer Dobby a chair, or the opportunity to sit down (Chamber of Secrets!). I wonder if Snape will eventually begin to tutor Harry in Potions or something. I can't wait to find out what happens next! Thanks for making my day a little more interesting with your wonderful story!

    Well the truth came out. Poor Harry. I wonder how things will turn out with just Harry and Snape staying in the house. I felt sorry for Harry after Remus showed him the cake. Here he is getting out all of his anger and frustration of people hiding things from him, (and they often do)he screams at Lupin only to find out that he had made a cake for him. He probably felt like a total arse. Oh well. Well I can't wait any longer to find out what happens next...more reading!

    Author's Response: Hehe, this is fun to read one review after another.  It's like getting to sit down with you and watch your reactions after reading each chapter of the story!  And yes, that was not Harry's shining moment...poor stressed out Harry...
