Great chapter! I loved the tension. Very realistic. Worth the wait.
Wonderful chapter! Last few days have been pretty rough for Harry but now that he's finally away from the Dursley's, everything will be better. Just out of curiosity, how far do you plan to go with this story? Like into the school year and so on or just a summer fic?
Author's Response: Thanks for the review! I planned this originally as a summer-only fic (didn't want to overwhelm myself - my first story and all), but as of now, I have an entire schoolyear plot mapped out in my head. So in answer to your question, um...I don't really know yet. :\ At the pace I'm going (11 chapters to tell what, 3 days?) and my determination to finish what I start, I don't want to overcommit myself. Whichever way I ultimately decide to go, I promise to bring the story to a proper conclusion, hopefully to your satisfaction!

Ooo, this is a good story. You're doing a great job with both Harry and Snape, especially with how we can tell that Snape's concerned without him being all obvious and emotional about it. The only thing off for me is Lupin, who seems rather ooc.

I have to say, of the recent works, I like this fic best at this site! I like how realistic your Snape and Remus are, and Harry. I hope there will be more very soon? Please?

And yes, there will be more soon. It has been a while since my last update due to being out of town and helping my friend with her wedding, etc. The chapter's written (my longest yet!), but I have quite a few revisions to make.

I've just discovered this story, and I've very much enjoyed it. Your portrayal of the characters involved seems to be far more realistic than most stories of this kind. I'm looking forward to reading the next chapter, and I've added the story to my favourites list :)

Gotta love Snape. A way to embarass the Dursleys, or at least make more work fot them, now that Harry's gone. Smile. Brilliant fic! reading through a 2nd time, very eagerly awaiting more!

Yippee for Weasley's Wall Watchers. Nice device to let us hear what Snape has to say to Dumbledore about Harry's relatives. And I can't wait for Harry to defend Snape to Remus. It should confuse three wizards mightily. ;-)
