Reviews For For The Boy Who Has Everything
The headlines were hilarious! Werewolf... Whereabouts... LOL... Voldemort may be gone, but it appears that Rita Skeeter has taken over the world! Well, I hope Lupin and Snape aren't both covering up something awful that's happened to the Weasleys. Something really bad must have happened to send them into hiding like that. Poor Sirius is in hell? Because it's not angst if the person you got killed gets to frolic with angels. But I have the feeling he isn't on this fic's main characters list just because both Harry and Lupin are angsting over him. Author's Response: The thing with the Weasleys is actually fairly straightforward. The Ministry was bothering them (to the point that their place was ransacked by Aurors, as Ron mentioned to Harry) due to their membership in the Order and loyalty to Dumbledore. They, like a lot of others right now, are Fudge's targets in his little campaign. RE: Sirius. Well, Remus seems to think that, but it's hard to say if he's right, since he gave no evidence. It certainly would be unfair to leave Sirius in Hell if that's where he is. On the other hand, Remus is with Snape now, and Harry is SnapeSpawn, so perhaps Sirius would be happier just to be left alone, thank you very much. :-)
If I could make one suggestion though; I think that Snape and Lupin have to acknowledge the fact that Harry's inability to trust/respect adults comes from the Dursleys. The Dursleys taught Harry that he could not depend on adults. It is a bit irksome having Harry accept that he is acting like a brat, without Snape and Lupin accepting that they are acting like asses lol. Thanks for posting, you are a very talented writer! Author's Response: Yes, they will definitely have to acknowledge that Harry's had a messed up life and that it's having a huge affect on him, but they're not quite there yet. Harry, being Harry, doesn't really give anyone much reason to think the Dursleys have done him lasting damage, and they were chosen by Dumbledore, which doesn't help matters, since people are reluctant to delieve that Dumbledore could be wrong. It'll all come out eventually though.
Author's Response: Yes, the info just had to go in somewhere, and it might as well be all at once. A lot of things have been accumulating that either are not very important to the plot but are loose ends that a reader might wonder about, or are important to the plot but not important in and of themselves.
Author's Response: Trying to figure out how to reintroduce info that Harry would have learned at the end of the 5th book, and what would have changed as a consequence of my changes to Rowling's version, has been one of the challenges while writing this story.
