Sorry this review is so late, but life's been busy so until now I've had no time to stop in at the site.
This chapter had several topics brought up and I found it interesting to read. I actually found the fighting to be pretty funny, it was so petty, and I found myself smirking at their banter.
Poor Harry though, he felt a lot of frustration in this chapter. I loved the end though! Those last few comments were kind of cute/sweet :) Glad to see that they stopped arguing and got to neutral ground. There has been a lot of angst so far, and a lighter atmosphere was good.
I'll keep an eye out for your next chapter! And congratulations on your story got a tag, I enjoy reading it.
This chapter was well worth waiting for. I really like the way you are handling Harry and Severus' characters and epecially the development of their relationship. I'm looking forward to seeing more of this when your muse is cooperative.
I wound up rereading the entire story when you updated, and it was as good as I remembered. This chapter was brilliant - I love the ending, and the way Snape is trying, in his own way. Great job.

rereading this before i read your new chapter, and just wanted to say again that this is an amazing chapter. so much character & relationship development - packed into one scene. intense!
Interesting dialogue. I enjoy this story very much. However, seeing as your reviews are already full of praises, let me offer a few criticisms.
Snape, even one as changed as yours, would hardly say "Forgive my stupidity." He is a proud man, and takes his intelligence above all else. Stupidity is not the word here; you want something implying that a mistake was made (intelligent men can sometimes be mistaken, but are never stupid), with an undercurrent of insecurity and bitterness.
There is another point at which the logic doesn't quite flow. Snape says, "You thought I locked you up to punish you." His next sentence equates "getting back" at someone with punishing them. They are, I believe, quite different, and someone like Snape, especially given his history, would be quick to see the difference. Punishing someone requires a position of authority. An adult can punish a child, a professor can punish a student, Tobias and Vernon can punish Snape and Harry, respectively. Getting back at someone is retaliation, revenge. This is usually between equals, rivals, such as between Snape and James, or Harry and Malfoy. Punishment and revenge, while superficially similar, are very different concepts. While Harry, and perhaps even Snape, may not realize which one applies in this scenario, he/they should assume one way or the other, and not equate the two.

i love it! poor dumbledore, everyone hates him. Including me in the context of this story. Can't wait for more!
Another chapter that illustrates the unique way you have of showing the growing closeness of Harry and Severus. You can just see them working on each other's hurts and rough places.

Brilliant! I like the way that Snape cant stop talking to Harry and that Harry confides in him about James and not knowing when his dad's bday is. He even asks Snape for help! That's a big thing! Not to mention the fact that Snape helped him right away!
Let Snape become Harry's dad please! (By adoption)
