Ew burning flesh, poor Sevie :(
Harry and Severus need to run and run far and stay away for a very long time. They aren't getting an even break for even a day. It's so sad. Hopefully Harry and Severus will find a way to satisfy everyone without compromising themselves. What a tall order THAT is!
What on earth is Dumbledore up to?? I hope Snape's alright and wakes up soon! Very nice chapter and I hope there's more soon!
No! You can't leave Severus just hurt and unconcious like that. I don't like it that Albus is up to something, it's all a bit suspicious. And bloody Lucius, it's all just going to hell at the moment really.
Glad to hear that you're planning a sequel! You made my day with that one. Best of luck with the next chapter!

Okay, so what'd Dumbledore do to him? C'mon, give! Don't forget I know where you live!

Author's Response: Maybe it's a red herring, ya think of that??? Besides, if I told you it would ruin the surprise. ;-)

What a great story. I've really enjoyed reading it. The development of Snape's and Harry's relationship has been amazing - I couldn't stop reading! I can't wait to read more and I would definitely love to read a sequel. Thanks for such a great story.

This is the first time I've responded to online fanfiction, but I have to say this story really has me going! My only problem is I can't read the story straight through, even though additional chapters are posted, since I don't have a computer and have to go online at the public library!
I finished reading this chapter two days ago, and I'm only now able to comment on it. I'd been wondering which direction this Snape & Harry relationship would take (I didn't know how it was categorized, since I got involved with it as a featured story), and NOW it's becoming clearer. I don't mind a cliffhanger-- makes me keep wanting to get back to the story! I guess it's worse for readers who read to the last COMPLETED chapter and have to wait for the next one to be written!
Honestly, I almost DIDN'T start reading this one when I saw it wasn't completed; in the past, I've been gypped by writers who get so far, and then something happens which prevents them from finishing the story. I've pretty much sworn off starting stories-in-progress! But this one is worth the read, and I sincerely wish you the best in completing it!
I guess my main attraction thus far is Snape's actually being human enough to get beyond himself to reach out to Harry from the very beginning. As the chapters have unfolded, I've been extremely impressed with charcter development, especially Harry as he suffers and tries to heal from his personal horrors. I know this is generalized for the story as a whole, rather than being chapter-specific, but I'm really looking forward to seeing how the story continues to develop.
wow... i can't believe i didn't read this sooner. i admit, i had been avoiding it because the first two chapters didn't catch my attention when this story first came out. but then... well, i'm in love with and obsessed with your other stories and everybody talks about this one being so wonderful... so i had to give in and check it out for real. i'm so glad i did. it's wonderful!
