oh my and so starts the new rollercoaster with Harry and Severus. Really great chapter, I was suprised that Harry went as far as he did with his threat. At least Harry was able to stand up to Lucius, even if he did have quite a reaction to it afterward. And yes, attempting to kill Lucius wasn't a good idea at that point, but I was pleased to see that Harry wanted to fight back, not just retreat inward.
Snape is clearly having a difficult time at this point. Having to go off by himself and recover for a few minutes, at a point where he already had evidence that Harry was going to have some sort of episode, shows us just how hard this is on Snape.
As usual, I love the subtle things you do, even in the midst of actions sequences, that convey so much. The scent of Lucius cologne was one, as was Snape's difficulty dealing with the aftermath.
I have to admit, this particular crisis at this point in the story had surprised me. I guess I was thinking you were moving to greater healing with smaller crisis episodes. The meeting with Lucius (which I did expect ultimately) happened earlier than I'd thought and therefore -- naturally -- was more difficult for Harry to take.

Wow...talk about a cathartic chapter! The last scene with Harry and Snape was extremely emotional and really made me choke up. And the scene where Harry was flashing back... It's interesting how the smell of Lucius's cologne, a smell that is usually considered pleasant, is enough to make Harry vomit. The fact that you emphasize small details like this makes this story so brilliant.

HEY! I didn't ask that you destroy Harry's well being! I wanted him to heal and get back to school and laugh with his friends. Now I'm sad. And willing to cast the killing curse myself on Malfoy!
I am so proud of Snape! Good job with this chapter, you should know that they just keep getting better...can't wait for the next chapter! (I do like it when horrible damage is inflicted on Harry from his past, but please make sure that he's going to be ok in the end!) Keep writing and I'll keep hanging on your every word to see what happens to our beloved pair of characters...great job of characterization by the way!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! For not making your faithful readers wait too long. I almost wish Harry would've been able to curse Malfoy with something nasty but I can at least hope that'll come in the future. :)
I have to tell you -- I was eating my dinner while reading this, and whilst reading his journal entry, I started to laugh and dropped my plate on the floor. My poor dinner... But it's okay, I got more :)
And no, I did NOT see that coming, lol. Very very very interesting though. I really hope Harry doesn't relapse into a subconscious/unconscious state again. That would suck. For everyone involved, lol. But for he and Snape particularly.
