Reviews For Better Be Slytherin!
Can't wait to see how things go down at the Dursleys this up-coming summer! That should be an interesting affair, they deserve whatever the Professor dishes out. Now that Harry’s reconsidered Sev's offer. I‘m sure the remainder of his summer will be for once enjoyable. P.S. Visiting Ireland must have been great! :D Author's Response: Ireland was lots of fun, but it was also relaxing, and it's been hard to get back in the work groove. :) Harry is still troubled . . . he killed a man, even if he did not mean to (and even though it was his mother's protection that was the final blow to Quirrell's evil), and that's something he won't get over easily. Also, his trust in Snape took a hard blow, especially after the way he was treated for the second half of the year, and that's not going to be easy to let go of either. But they can move forward from where they are now, instead of treading water. Thanks for reviewing!
Author's Response: I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for the review!
You are so good at not rushing action and giving us the pertinent details. I love angst with hope. I enjoy angst but there's only so much of that one can take without some hope of something better in sight and that hope and respite is what your stories inspire. You must be having decent health at the moment. Hope you enjoyed Ireland. What was it like? Never been out of the United States. Author's Response: Thank you, that's a very kind description. I'm glad you enjoy my stories. And I agree, angst without hope is not for me, either. Ireland was wonderful . . . the climate and topography is similar to Western Oregon, actually, but with castles and Stone Circles and breath-taking views of the ocean and/or rolling country-sides covered with stone walls and sheep. And the breakfasts! We stayed at B&Bs, mostly, and I've never eaten so much in my life!
This has been one of my Fav stories, I am so glad to see that the RL gave you enough time to write another chapter. Nice also how tentative the trust is between Harry and Snape Author's Response: Yeah, it's going to take a while before they can be as confortable with each other as they were towards the middle of the year. But they'll have plenty of time to work it out over the summer. Thanks for reviewing!
Author's Response: One of my main foci of this work is Slytherin House and how it's not the den of iniquity made out to be, where a quarter of all Hogwarts students are singled out when they're 11 years old to be The Evil Ones, or The Dark Ones or whatever. They're just kids, just like in all the other houses, and I wanted to show that, through Harry's experiences. Thank you for reviewing!
I can't wait to see Severus' reaction to the Dursleys! Author's Response: Yes, the fireworks are sure to be bright and crackly when Snape and Vernon meet again. Thanks for the review!
Looking forward to the weeks with the Dursleys. It may be the only time Harry enjoys it as well. Awaiting more with great longing.
i understand 100 percent why Harry is laughing once again, i can't wait for the next chapter! Author's Response: Thank you!
Author's Response: Thank you!
Author's Response: Thanks, I plan to! Snape knows the experience is likely to be . . . unpleasant, but he really wants to protect Harry however he can. |
