Very good chapter! I really dislike Snape for causing Harry's meltdown. I cant believe he didn't realize that Harry was skipping meals for a reason. Harry obviously needed to find more time to finish things and sometimes Snape is just too blind to see that! Anyways, excellent chapter and hopefully more soon!

I guess Harry will never have an easy time in this universe. Thank goodness for the Baron. Kudo's for creative use of an OC (even in JK's universe).

Poor Harry, another week detention...
Poor Harry keeps getting these nasty jobs to do in detention and now another week of detention! I surely hope Snape runs out of yucky jobs soon!
Man, I'd call him a bastard too, if I was in Harry's shoes. Good grief, that poor kid. Can't seem to do anything right... except everything. Man, how confusing is that? Haha, not what you write, just trying to explain it is... I could totally see right through Snape, though. What with the whole ending of the last chapter and the ending of this one. He just wants Harry to know who's in charge, and who he's supposed to respect. Still, poor Harry. I'd be shaking in my boots if I were him, lol.

Oh Poor Harry!! He really is having a hard time of it!! I'm glad he told Severus about his scar hurting around Quirrell though - hopefully this will get Severus properly looking into the thing!! I'm glad Harry had fun during his practice and that Severus let him go a bit early so he can try to get some of his homework done!!

I really like the way you've had Snape realizing Harry's difficulties and some of the realities of Harry's life, but with very little relaxing of Snape's somewhat harsh manner toward Harry. And Harry's not the cowed kid of many of these types of stories, nor on the other hand, the really dark sort of kid either. It's quite a good tension between the two.
Good chapter! *points at Severus* I knew you'd admit it sooner or later!
And damn that Dumbledore! Snape should shove those memories down his throat! Dumbledore seems a bit more apathetic than usual. Is something up?
Author's Response: Hiya Jade, Thanks for the review! There's nothing really up with Dumbles (not like in Shadows, anyway) but he's just behaving the way I decided he would -- taking a bit of license, natch -- if faced with the crushing disappointment of a Slytherin!Harry.
Excellent chapter! Are you still having problems when your stories are updated? I didn't get the notice that this was updated but yet I did get the one for Whelp 2. Hrmm... sites been a bit off lately but hopefully it'll get fixed soon. Keep up the super awesome writing on all of your stories!

Aww man, I was actually looking forward to Snape's temper... How could you disappoint me like that? ;) No, but really, this was a good chapter. I have to admit, I'm a Dumbledore fan, but in your story I want to kick him in the shins and hope he flinches even just a little.
