Reviews For The Poor of God
*laughs, long and loud* "Ridiculous boy," he says gruffly—and then he brushes the hair back from the pale forehead, and pulls the covers up under his chin. The room is dark, after all, and they are alone. Perfect. Perfect Snape. Um. I love you. This is wonderful, and I happily await more. Gah! Anyway... I'm going to add this to my favorites, and check the little box that allows me to know when updates happen. Thank you.
(I've given up on writing reviews with actual words, at least temporarily. You know how I feel anyway. :)
I'd just be repeating myself. Can't resist, though: Except to say that there are tears in my eyes.
There is one thing, however, which I remember noting: You write each characters vulnerabilities so touchingly and realistically, and they use these to sort of be there for each other. Snape and Dumbledore's interaction really felt like the relationship we caught glimpses of during Rowling's later books. The ending of this chapter is powerful, with a quiet, intense sort of tone. Let me say again, thank you for the time and effort and everything you took to write this story, and just for writing in general. *goes to read the next chapter* Ooh, and I like that Snape likes the girl in Secret Garden. That's a cool observation.
'he is too quick to notice the same kind of pain in others. She really likes him quite a lot.' "It's bigger on the inside," Gasp! Have you watched Doctor Who? And the ending - would you be horribly creeped out if I said I loved you again? 'Cause that is... aah.
'and do something quite Unforgivable.' 'His knees are less steady than he prefers them.' And the scene with the two on the couch is done fantastically in character. Have I told you lately that I love you? *grins*
'Snape's lip quirks in a faint, sad sort of smile. "Yes, Potter," he says. "Me too."' ... I love you. Love this. The description of Snape's voice as drawling, also, is wonderfully accurate. This story makes me forget that anything else exists, when I read it. As any fantastic and wonderful story tends to do. :) *goes to read more*
The characters are written wonderfully, and their relationship changes without becoming a bit out of character. I *love* your writing style. As a side note, I love your Luna. She is marvelous. Thank you for writing! |
