Oh wow. This has such a quiet, poetic beauty to it that is just dazzling. I admit you broadsided me with the Snape/Luna thing, but somehow you've made the prospect utterly believable and endearing. What a delightful story you've weaved. I loved every moment of it.
Still as awesome on the second read-through...and there aren't many stories I can be bothered to read twice. Great fic, wish there was more of it! :-D
That was truly excellent.
A very lovely, fitting end to a beautifully woven tale of love. I enjoyed reading this.
I really, really like this: "...mercy is as terrible as hate, and burns with brighter flame."

The last chapter is my absolute favorite - I like to read it over and over and smile. I LOVE the idea of Snape and Luna!!
I really, really loved this. From the giggles I got from Harry's first letter back to the comprehensible way you wrote Dumbledore's reasoning to the tears in my eyes when Harry told Snape his mom would be proud of him or when he told Snape that his kids would need a grandfather.
I also loved the way you chose how to tell this story - we don't see the characters through every step of the way, but kind of visit them at different points in their lives. I really liked that.
Also, my favourite quote:
*** “You’re in the cupboard, Harry,” [Luna] says. “It’s a magic cupboard, and it’s always safe in here. It has everything you need, and the people who are here with you love you. It’s a special place just for people like you and me. Nobody’s a freak, here.”
Harry stares at her with wide eyes, then looks all around him, as though seeing the room for the first time.
“It’s bigger on the inside,” he says wonderingly.
Luna laughs. “Yes.” ***
This was a wonderful story although I found it a bit odd that luna and snape got married as he is old enough to be her father and he once wished he could adopt her. And I don't like how he secluded himself away for 7 years but otherwise, lovely story.
These stories are just brilliant. I couldn't put the first one down, and was so pleased there was a sequel. :) Then I devoured it too.
Your writing is beautiful, your characterisations just perfect, and the stories really original. I love the emphasis throughout the fics that this isn't just for the sake of the Boy Who Lived, and that it focuses on Harry himself. I also really loved the little incidents of Luna throughout the fic, starting small and then working up to be such an integral part of the story. Great work.
It is a testament to your prowess as an author that the final pairing of Snape and Luna at the en did not turn me off. Rather it slotted right into this story with no problem. This story was brilliantly written, paced, and characterized. I love the style you chose for the ending, giving closure but not taking away from the focus of all of the emotional growth and journey that was the story's focus.
Well done!
