Reviews For The Poor of God
Author's Response: Professor Snape is quite good at pretending he knows things. Of course, very often he does know things, but even when he doesn't he knows all the right faces to make. Love, Luna
Luna's telling Harry that he was in a very safe cupboard made a lot of "sense" under the circumstances and helped Harry settle into a safe dream where he could sleep. Lovely writing of Luna, by the way. Author's Response: Once, when I was little, I had a dream like that---I got lost in the woods near my house and had to stay out the whole night, and when I was walking home the next morning I met an entire colony of gernumblies who lead me back home....of course, they were still there when I woke up again the next day, so I'm not sure what that means. Love, Luna
My goodness, but you just keep getting better and better, don't you? I love your characterisation of Luna - it was just so beautifully done in every way that it's as if you were inside her head the whole way through! Luna is a hard character to get right, and I think you've done a great job at it! It's so beautiful to see how her compassion and kindness helps Harry through the ordeal ... and brilliant idea with having her experiencing the potion before! The whole "cupboard" idea is ingenious too. I thank you for delivering yet another wonderful chapter to tide us over until the next one comes out! I always look forward to a new chapter of this story - I'm anxious to read the next part! Please update soon! :) Author's Response: Thank you very much! I rather liked this chapter too. Of course, Professor Snape says this is just because I'm in it so much, but he didn't like the last chapter he was in, so that doesn't really follow, does it? I'm rather fond of cupboards myself, really. They're quite cozy, as long as you can get out of them again. Love, Luna
Author's Response: :-) I quite liked the way Professor Snape reacted to me as well. He has the funniest reactions to things, though some times they're very sweet too... Love, Luna
Author's Response: Hey, I know lots of long words! I just learned a new one today: discombobulation. I'm going to use it in front of Snape first chance I get. ---Harry
I also really, really enjoyed the whole scene where Snape looks for the letters and realizes just how empty Harry's life has been and how much his letters had apparently meant to him. And then I just loved how Snape dealt with Vernon's letter... that was perfectly fitting, too. And... Luna! I know I'm going to love the next chapter if she's in it, because you write her so well. I can't wait to see how Harry's dreams progress. It hasn't been too bad so far, just emotionally painful. But if they are supposed to get worse, and it's supposed to get harder to get Harry to recognize them as being dreams, then I'm sure Harry's in for a rough time. Author's Response: What---LETTERS? You mean Snape saw HIS letters in my Transfigurations text? Oh, man, I am NEVER going to be able to look him in the eye again. I thought so before, but now I know it. Oh MAN. -- Harry
I love that line! Great chapter and good transitions between Harry thinking Snape was his Dad, Uncle Vernon, Sirius, Cedric and Petunia... Update soon, please!!! Author's Response: I am never going to get over thinking Snape was my dad. ...no. Never.
--Harry
Author's Response: I reckon if any two people in the world deserve each other, it's Snape and Uncle Vernon. --Harry
I really wanted Vernon and Petunia to be Kissed by the Dementors in "Deathly Hallows", and I was so disappointed that they were whisked away to safety - they needed to PAY for their abuse of Harry, and I don't understand what JKR was on about when she let them off scott free. Hopefully Snape will be able to help Harry through this 'nightmarish' time (Hee! A Pun!), and I love that Luna has come to help!! Go Luna!! Scarlett Author's Response: Dear Scarlett: Thanks very much. I seem to be getting hugged by a lot of strange women this week, and while I'm not quite sure what's going on there I haven't complained yet. I wouldn't wish Dementors on anyone, but I wouldn't mind the Dursleys getting a sudden infestation of garden gnomes or something. Love, Harry |
