Another powerful chapter. You're really good at the Snape insults. Poor Harry. In fact, you're good at Dursley, too. Both were very real. I can't wait to see what's next.

Well, well, I certainly hope you can update again quickly! Harry isn't particularly subtle, is he? Not to suspect all the time they were brewing the oh-so-difficult potion? Of course, he has believed Snape to hate him for so long, that it probably doesn't really seem that unusual. Bringing in the letter from Vernon helps make Harry's reaction more understandable, as he'd had to switch his focus from wondering about Potions class to dealing with the blow of the letter from his uncle.
Author's Response: I'm glad you saw Harry's reaction in the light of getting that letter from Vernon, because that was certainly meant to play a role in it. :-)

Yay - go Snape's developing conscience XD I think it says loads that, really, underneath everything, he'd probably really much rather to go through the extra effort to keep up a pretense of hating Harry (not to mention a secret correspondence) than belittle him in front of an entire class, and possibly destroy any trust between them XD

I like how Snape's letter sort of starts out as a brusque this-is-all-I'm-writing-so-don't-get-used-to-it letter, but then it's like he simply couldn't help himself as he wrote that barb about laxity. And I KNEW he was sitting anxiously by Harry's side the entire time he was out! You can try to fool yourself and everyone around you, but you can't fool me, Snapey ... XD
Oooh and I am very much looking forward to 'The Potions Incident'! I haven't reviewed for awhile so I just wanted to say that I'm very pleased that you're writing a sequel.
These first two chapters have been so much fun to read. I really enjoy the letters, I always have a little giggle. Harry's first one was especially funny, with his use of long words and all. I'm also very glad that Severus at least tried to warn Harry about this potions incident.
Looking very much forward to the next chapter!
I'm certainly looking forward to the scene where Snape yells like crazy at Harry. That should be very amusing and I hope its out soon!
