Reviews For The Poor of God
I like the way you use Luna's character as a sympathetic sounding board for Harry. I wonder if this story will develop a Harry/Luna ship? I did note that Ginny did not visit Harry in the infirmary. I thought that was odd; unless, of course, in this story it's Harry/Luna and not Harry/Ginny. I don't really care either way. Just curious, I suppose.
I love that line! I'm very glad you decided to do a sequel, and it seems off to a great start. I also quite like epistolaries, and hope you keep that correspondence trope going as well. The only concern I had was for the odd fluxuation, especially in chapter one, of verb tenses. Whereas things that happened in the past in a story which is written in "simple past tense" should be in "past perfect," if the story is written in "present tense," things that happened in the past should be written in "simple past." Does that make sense? Thanks again for continuing your wonderful tale.
It was lovely to wake up to this chapter, and I am *so* looking forward to the forthcoming 'potions incident'. I love the way Snape talks: "That feat is not in the scope of human accomplishment." Perfect. Absolutely, perfectly, precisely, snarkliy Snape. :) Sincerely, Annette
i! love! your! snape! seriously..."you do realize that my birthday is not until january?!" and... "he squirmed like a toad in the early stages of vivisection"?! and of course, the oh so subtle -H- in the beginning of the letter...*grins*...oh, the warm and fuzziness... i'm really excited about the class on friday...and, a letter from the Dursley King? this shall be fun...
P.S Hurry up and write the next chapter! =p
Snape's letter at the end made me feel somewhat better about the whole thing, since Snape is clearly unwilling to allow Harry to think the upcoming incident is real.
I really liked the letters. Snape is so amazingly in character even though he's having to step outside his canon-self's comfort zone. Harry's great, too. I really look forward to more.
YES!!! An update! *dances* Oooh, I so love those letters! I can't wait to see the "incident"! Please update soon! I can't wait to read the next part!!! |
