Reviews For The Poor of God
I am kind of glad you condensed the story at the end... You hit the main part of the story, the change between Harry and Snape. BRAVO
As far as Snape/Luna goes...I must admit, my first thought was, "Snape! You dirty old man!!!" But then, sounds like Luna threw herself at him like a real Lolita. ;-) Thank you for this story. Best, Fawn Author's Response: She was 23, not 12...I promise, it makes a difference.
Fantastic!! (I did find one error you might want to fix: "it is not likely that I will not survive to see the end of this war." A double negative.) I have been reading this story from when you first started it with "The Guitless" and I can't believe the transformation in your writing skills. What started as a very simple story was transformed into a wonderfully written saga. I had to go back and reread both stories!! Bravo, you have done a wonderful job with the ending! I loved it. Your writing style really changed after you came back with the last chapters, it really matured and expanded upon the storyline. It was worth the wait to read the last chapters. Thank you for writing it and again Great Job!! Jaylen Author's Response: I'm glad you liked the expanded story. I had to do that to keep myself interested in it. Thanks for sticking with it. :)
Author's Response: I'm glad you liked it. :)
But yeah I think I had something in my eye when I was reading the awesome Snape-Harry I-Love-You-Man! bonding bit - it kept on leaking for some strange reason. Must've been a bit of dust or something ... I'm so happy this story is finished, though (not in a bad "thank god that's over" way, though). This is honestly one of my favourite stories ever and I am going to enjoy being able to go back and re-read everything in the future. If you ever start to write anything new, don't forget to upload it wherever - I can safely say that you have at least one very happy fan :D Author's Response: :) :) :) Thank YOU for consistently being my most charming reviewer. Also, did I tell you how much I liked the fanart? I thought it was a brilliant Snape portrait and I'd like to stick it on my website when I get around to updating. I promise, I've been writing stuff all along---I've been working on an original novel and I've written lots of fic in HP and other fandoms, they just tend to be outside the parameters of what can be posted on this archive. My LJ is the best place to look, particularly under the fic tag. But if I ever find myself writing Snape-Harry gen again...I'll be sure to bring it back here.
I love that Luna makes a triumphant return in this chapter ... she was such a big part of the story that I missed her while her voice was MIA. And OMG A SEER. NO WAY HOSE'. Finally, this review turns to Snape ... unfortunately there aren't enough words in existence to allow me to fully express my love for Snape in this story :D I'll just have to leave it at "HE'S AWESOME" since my brain melted from all the awesomeness this story contains. Did I mention you're awesome?
That is all I have to say about this chapter. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE (and I'm not talking about the "love" content, but my feelings on this chapter :D) LOVE. Also I'm ecstatic to see that Mr. Dry Humor has returned in full force ... I was drinking a glass of milk when I read "I beg your pardon," says Snape. "I don't believe I can have heard you correctly. Did you, in fact, just inform me that the earth is still rotating on its axis?" and now my keyboard's ruined. Oh well, suffice to say its death wasn't in vain :D Alrighty, off to read the next chapters .... LOVE.
Other than that, you're a genius. I suppose I can't hope for a third one. Although Luna/Snape. ....WTD. Author's Response: No, I think I wrapped the ends up too tightly for another sequel. Sorry Snape/Luna wasn't to your taste, but I've shipped them since OOTP came out. :) |
