Usually I do not like AUs in Harry's 1st year... but this one kept my attention, and met my expectations of a good story, thank you for writing it!

I absolutely loved this story! So many others make Harry out to be an emotional wreck because of his home life, but I always thought he was a little stronger than that. I love the interaction between Snape and McGonagall, too. Please write lots more!!

It would have been nice if Sev had found out that Draco had actually taken another students property, instead of Harry trying to take something of Draco's. Still I don't suppose it would have mattered much to Sev.
I loved your description of Neville on a broom. 'A drunken loon'--very funny.
Good to see that Sev was frightened for HArry even if it was against his inclinations.
I wish I could just sit all day and read the rest of the story, but I am afraid I have other things to do.

I liked your perspective on the Mountain Troll battle--I could almost feel sorry for it, it's so stupid.
I also liked Severus' grudging admiration for Harry's and Ron's skills in defeating the troll. It was a pretty awesome thing for two first years to do. And it's even near the beginning of the year--they really haven't had time to learn a lot.

Boy, I sure hope Harry does win that Quidditch match. I'd love to see Severus' face. Minerva and Severus are both very cute here.
Must be frustrating for Severus for Dumbledore to dismiss his opinions about Quirrell and Harry, if Dumbledore does in fact not take him seriously about Quirrell--he may just not want to say anything in front of Severus. I think Dumbledore knows not to trust Severus' opinion about Harry.
