Reviews For Whelp II -- The Wrath of Snape
It's just that being a parent is new to him; under the best of circumstances, anyone would make some mistakes. And even though we don't know much about your Severus' past, I have the impression that it was unhappy, that he always had trouble relating to people and now he's the primary caretaker for a very needy and damaged child. Of course he's not going to be perfect. This doesn't mean that my heart doesn't break for poor little Harry. He is just so sweet and so good, and he tries so hard and still suffers so much--I think Severus just needs to quit teaching and stay home so he can love and cuddle Harry all day. I'm not sure what they'd do about having money for food and other basic necessities, but I'm sure Dumbledore could arrange something. I had to grin at how Severus let his remorse and worry and guilt morph into anger at his students (it's really not funny, I suppose, but I still had to smile). I bet the students will never forget that Potions class. And it was good of Madame Pomfrey to stay with Harry and even to lecture Severus--he does need to find someone who can adequately supervise Harry, yet still understand Harry's fragile state. Hmm, sounds like Molly Weasley would be perfect for the job, and Harry would have playmates and someone who could teach him his lessons, too!
i've been waiting for this chapter FOREVER finally - severus realizes that he's hurting harry! SOB - i need more!
I was on the verge of tears with Harry! That poor baby boy! Severus really does need to do more but he loves his son - I can see it by the way you write. Can't wait to see what else happens and when Sev becomes super protective father. Does Harry get kidnapped by Malfoy or someone? How does Severus find out? Please udpate when you can, I'm really looking forward to reading. Yours, Lady Julie Snape.
You write very well.
You're going to have your work cut out for you, fixing the damage you've done. *Please* update soon, this chapter is killing me.
Severus handled the Parselmouth issue pretty well, too, I thought, but he really should know better than to give Harry instructions like not getting off the sofa and letting himself get too involved with his potions to the point of forgetting what his son needs. I suppose that's because he's still getting used to being a parent and he's trying to juggle his new responsibilities as a teacher, but still.... Well, at least, there should be some angst in the next chapter or two to look forward to. I can't wait for the next chapter!
Great job!
