Okay, Severus slips from time to time but he's really doing his very best. *applauds severus*
What's with Filch? Was he some kind of death eater or a follower of Grindelwald or something like that, that dumbledore needs him under his close scrutiny even if that endangers innocent children?
Haha, how cute. It makes perfect sense. I get the feeling I've heard of this type of behavior before - that neglected/abused children like to have something, or someone (a pet most likely) to take care of and nurture, because it's something that they never personally encountered, or are still haunted by.
Seriously, though, that was adorable. Severus letting a *kitten* around his quarters. Lol. Never would have seen that one coming.

Poor little Harry. I wonder what actually triggered his relapse...the memory of the food or Severus's attitude...or a combination of both. Severus seems to feel guilty often, and it's sad, because he knows it's not his fault. But come on, Sev! You should have let him keep the cat in the first place!! *sigh*
And he named it Treacle Tart! Just when I thought Harry couldn't get any cuter...

From personal experience pets cause a heck of a lot of havoc and mayhem, but it's all worth it ^_^ Harry and Treacle Tart are ever soooo cute :D virtual hugs, kisses, and chocolate frogs for this chappie!
