*smiles softly* Fluffies! :)
Author's Response: Glad you're enjoying the story and so happy you liked this chapter. This scene is actually one of my favorites but it often gets ignored since it's not a Snape/Harry moment. :o)

Fairly intresting. I meant to read this before, but got caught up in other stories. I look foward to seeing what's what in this series.
This story was recommended to me several times, so I decided to give it a go. I'm glad I did. It's a great story you've got here with well done character development. I usually prefer more of that, rather than action and battles. You do a good job of balancing both of those.
I will say though that if the story is lacking in any area, it would perhaps be with clarity. Many times in this story, as a reader, I have to get through more than half a scene before it becomes apparent where the characters are at (e.g. the infirmary, potions classroom, Snape's quarters) and what the setting is. Sometimes as writers, we overlook those "small" details easily because we already see it in our own minds. But it can actually be a bit jarring as a reader to start a new scene and not have a clue what the setting is and what is going on. It can really detract from the story. Anyhow, I just wanted to point that out.
Overall, you have a very good piece of work here. I am actually already halfway through "The Gift" and am enjoying it very, very much. I'm loving watching Severus and Harry's relationship change and develop. But I wanted to be sure to leave you a review for this story because you deserve it. I know from my own experiences, it is nice to be recognized for one's work. Even years down the road. ;-)
Great job and I am looking forward to catching up in this series of yours! :-)
I probably reviewed this over at fanfic, Yab, but I just had to say that I could read it with impunity this time because I now know what happened. But even so, the ending of this chapter is very powerful and heartwrenching.
I also adore how you ahve described HArry and Severus' emotions and actions when they are sitting outside the tent. Severus' love for his son just oozes out of the words and envelops you in its intensity. It is truly beautifully written. Harry's contentment in his father's protection and love is also very, very believable.

Its been a very very long time since I've had the luxury of being able to read a well rounded throughly thought through story like this. In fact its been several years since I've read any severitus stories because of that fact. I'm not exactly sure what prompted me to pick this one to break my draught but I have to say that I am very very glad I did! There were so many things in the plot and what not that I just loved to death! Personally thats saying something since I can't stand Harry/Ginny stories. Beautiful, wonderful work, I can't wait to read Lily's Charm: The Gift
Author's Response: Thank you very much. I'm so glad you decided to read! And that you enjoyed it. I really love getting new reviews for LC. :o) I hope you enjoy Gift and thank you so much for the compliments. Thanks for the review.
