Reviews For Lily's Charm
Author's Response: LOL I really have no plans to stop, so we're all good there! I do have a sequel turning itself over in my head, so yep...we're all set. LOL Glad you like it so much! It makes me sorta giddy. *giddy dance* :o)
I think my favorite part was the flame and the storm talking to each other and showing how much they love each other. Author's Response: Yeah, those mind conversations are so much easier than the spoken ones, aren't they. No inhibitions...especially for Severus! I'm glad you're happy. Me too. These two are finally to a good place! Yay! :o)
Author's Response: Well, Ginny was just worried about Harry, but as she can see, he's gonna be just fine with Severus now and Harry doesn't need any protection...she's good to go. Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for reviewing! :o)
Author's Response: I know lots of people were upset with Harry but I think it really needed to happen. Harry needed to get things off his chest and most importantly for both of them...Harry needed to understand that Severus would keep him, not matter what. It's essential for the growh of this relationship. And yep, everything is right in their world and even if (or when) they argue again, it will never get to a point like this. The cracks are in this relationship but it's real now. It's not a fragile thing anymore. It has substance and finally, Harry feels secure. I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter. They are definitely okay. Lots of Dad and Harry coming up. Thanks so much for the review! :o)
These are my favorite words of this chapter. I feel sure that with everything Harry has lived through and all that remains ahead, "mostly" is huge improvement from the norm. I also liked that Harry hadn't even realized that his being grounded was a parental punishment on Snape's part. And of course Ginny's comment about family members fighting would be such a surprise to him. He's never really had a family before. At least not one that he can recall. Author's Response: Well, first of all...you're my 300th reviewer! Yippee. I'm glad you liked that last line. You're right...even in canon when he doesn't seem to feel much...he never seems particularly happy. LOL Yeah, he didn't really get the whole punishment thing, especially as Snape specifically did that so he wouldn't be too teacher-y. LOL Yeah, you're right. Harry just doesn't get the whole family thing, does he? Good thing Ginny's there! Yay! Thanks for reviewing. :o)
I thought the dream scene was brilliant. It made me feel like I was smothering...which, mind you, is a good thing! lol. You should be very proud of this story. You've created such an impressive narrative in such a short amount of time! And it's breathtaking. Keep it up the excellent writing! I'm so glad I've finally made it this far :) Author's Response: Oh, I'm so happy you're enjoying the story, Jade! Yay! That's all right...I have a really hard time keeping up with the stories now that I am obsessed with my own story. And you have the most brilliant story ever so can't really blame you there! Yeah, I really didn't love how in canon Harry was so neglected but yet he needs nothing. Not realistic at all. I'm glad you like him being vulnerable here. I love to write it. Smothering...yep, that's exactly what I was hoping for. Harry was smothering a bit there as well. LOL Thanks so much for your awesome words. They really do mean a lot to me, coming form an author such as yourself. I am rather proud of this story... *blushes and ducks head* Thanks so much. I hope keep enjoying it! :o)
I was just going to bed and checked my post and... another update! I really needed it. Thank you! Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed it and that it came at just the right time as well. This was a hard one, but it makes my day that you're happy! :o)
The scene in Dumbledore's office was awesome. Harry finally truly understands that he is loved by his dad. It is good, too, that he knows he is forgiven, but that he is still remorseful about losing control and saying those hurtful things to Severus. I don't think he is really remorseful about losing control and hitting Pinth (except maybe for getting his friends in trouble) so this could be a really good thing to help him learn to control his temper. I'm very impressed that Severus knows how to fulfill Harry's emotional needs. With Severus' background, it's not an ability that I would have expected of him. Anyway, great job. Author's Response: Thanks. Whew. Severus is still not particularly comfortable with the way Harry needs his needs met, but he is determined to do it anyway. I think he is a very stubborn man as well as very overprotective so he's willing to do the job that needs to be done. Sorta like he always did with his spy job with Voldemort and don't forget he allowed one of his worst enemies (James) to live in his home and pretend to be his beloved's husband just to do what was best for his wife and later Harry. So, really the ability is in him. It's just lain dormant for many years. And with Harry's love too, just like with Lily's...he is growing. Oh, and yeah, the trip beyond the veil was quite a big help. And he's let Lupin stay a part and even encouraged him to be part of Harry's life even though that makes him uncomfortable as well. I'm glad you liked the office scene. Yep, Harry finally gets it and really, Harry...it's about time! No, he's not remorseful about hitting Pinth. LOL I think he'd like to do it again! Yeah, except about Ron and Neville and for upsetting Severus as well, but nah...he'd do it again I'm sure. :oP So, yep this whole mean words to Severus thing was pretty important lesson learned as the Pinth incident really wasn't. :o)
Author's Response: Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it with all its emotional angst! And thanks for your characterizations compliment. I appreciate it! :o)
Thanks for reading. Author's Response: Thanks. Glad you liked it so much! :o) It's my favorite. LOL |
