Hopefully ObsidianEmbrace doesn't leave us in here long...please, please put us all out of our misery and update soon! Don't even reply to us being silly in these reviews...just write...ok?! Now to sleep if I don't have any nightmares about Sev and Harry...*sigh* But until I DO fall asleep, cathyrf, I do wallow in misery with you, my twin sister from another dimention... I must also point out, ObsidianEmbrace, that I too felt a stab of regret that Sev never told Harry he loved him...but he'll get another chance. In fact, he'll get lots of chances, right? Please?
I was SOOOO right there with her, when Harry flooed to Severus' quarters and I thought something might be suspicious and also thought for a moment, "no Harry...don't drink the potion." That's too funny. Yup, I'm in that hole with you and Harry and I'm not coming out until ObsidianEmbrace pulls us out. I wonder how long she's planning on leaving us here? I'm switching over to hot cocoa and I might take one of the chocolate frogs back just because in the HP world chocolate fixes everything. Then pkrosche and I can wallow in misery together. I'll even bring the marshmallows. ;-)
ObsidianEmbrace...holy *beeping* crap! I'm amazed and extremely happy I decided to check this one more time before bed. Thank you soo much for updating...now I'm going to cry... I was just so happy that Harry said I love you, it was perfect as was Sev's response of I don't deserve it. It was interesting too how Harry made the connection to Malfoy, you're right, they have a lot in common...*sigh* I was terrified that Dumbledore or Remus or even Moody would be a Death Eater in disguise, and Harry's comment of "I wonder why Dumbledore's coming with us...huh, that's odd" totally freaked me out! As did the "sleeping draught" I was screaming at my laptop, "don't drink it Harry!!" And, then he did...but thank you for not putting two people in the hospital wing...but the one you did... If that wasn't enough, that Voldemort line scared the *beep* out of me...I was seriously scared to death for Sev...but he can't be dead. He can't. And cathyrf is right, there is a MAJOR part of the story you've conviently left out...but how are we going to get to hear it?! Sev's going to wake up in the next chapter with a sobbing Harry on his chest and say, "boy, I've had a rough night, let me tell you about it." This IS what's going to happen, it is...I refuse to believe otherwise...I refuse to think otherwise... Then Harry rushing into the infirmary yelling out to his dad, not caring who heard...it's almost like you've thrown my broken heart onto the dirty ground and are lifting your foot to stomp them...please don't let your foot fall. "Submerging him into a place he was likely never to rise from." Hopefully he's not stuck there...and hopefully we all can rise out of that hole that you've successfully thrown us into, ObsidianEmbrace. Please, please save us. Ok, so I realize that I've been pretty dramatic in this review as well as the last, but you'll have to accept the fact that I really do care for the characters you've created here...and seriously hope that they all return for the next chapter. Good luck with that one, I'm looking forward to what you've got planned, especially if it involves a breathing Severus. Have a good night and week...now about that wine, cathyrf...perhaps a Mt. Nope, no treachery for Harry. Just two adults trying to get him to calm down before he has a nervous breakdown. LOL I love that I scared you though...have to admit..that was intentional. LOL Voldy was a bit scary, wasn't he? Brrr. Hmmm...nope Sev's not going to be giving out any details of the night's activities. Sorry. I love that you feel this so intently. I love it! It's gonna take a lot to get Harry out of that very dark place. Poor Harry. Poor Sev. Oh just poor everyone! *shakes head sadly* I'm really glad you care for these characters so much. That really tickles me. Seriously. :o) I love yours and Cathy's fun exchage with your wine and hot cocoa...but as requested, I won't respond...I will write! It simultaneously breaks my heart and terrifies me when Severus is explaining about the Halloween meeting to Harry and Harry makes him make that promise. I'm sure hoping Sev can keep that promise cause I'm going to be a basket case otherwise. I'm kind of bracing myself for him to be tortured, and probably badly so, but he sure better recover...and then be done with spying so he can openly be Harry's dad! Loved him giving Harry his own room, too, and how Harry was utterly clueless about it all.
Raw emotions were certainly taken to the highest plain in this chapter. Let's start with just Harry saying "I love you" (thanks, Harry, I needed you to do that) and their embrace. And Severus thinking he didn't deserve it but was grateful anyway. Sigh... Pretty darn sneaky to give Harry that sleeping potion, and it didn't work in the long run, but still...it shows all the love these adults now have for him and they wanted him not to worry himself sick until news of any type arrived. And they had to suspect it was going to go bad for Severus when the Hogsmeade attack was stopped. Then WHAP! Or at least that's what I felt like when I read this: “I had so hoped your son could join us, Severus.” I actually said out loud, "OH!" My heart leaped into my throat and I knew then Severus was done for. Maybe I should have suspected this curve ball, but I didn't. Which is why the WHAP got me so bad. How did Voldy find out?? Ooooh, I hate him. Especially after having his goons beat Severus to a bloody pulp. Did Lucius save him from being killed? There's definitely a big piece of the puzzle missing here. So I have to give this review's hug to Harry (mostly because Severus - hopefully - is just unconscious and not dead and therefore unhuggable) because hearing Severus in his head and then Voldemort and just *feeling* his terror and hearing the near hysteria in his voice when Remus showed up just breaks my heart. Well, it made a big crack anyway. The true "rip my heart out of my chest" moment (and the need for the pile of tissues) goes to Harry calling Severus "Dad" not caring who heard it and sobbing onto his chest begging him to keep his promise. It's going to take a while to mend it (my heart). A glass of wine might help after that to soothe my nerves. I'm way, WAY over 21. But now that the sniffling is (almost) over, I'm sitting back in my computer chair with my arms crossed over my chest looking defiantly at the screen (or I would be if I weren't typing) and definitely deciding I'm in denial. I REFUSE to believe that Severus is dead. Nope, you can't make me go there. Not doing it. And considering you posted (and wrote) two chapters in what, a 48 hour period of this magnitude makes you a true goddess. Nobody can tell me different. Off to find that glass of wine now. If you're over 21 you can join me in my sniffling party. Red or white? (If you're under 21 you can join us too, I just can't give you THAT to drink. Hee hee). I wish I could give more than ten frogs. Sick, aren't I? :o) Glad you liked the whole exchange at the beginning with the L word and Sev saying he doesn't deserve it...did you really expect anything else from our boy? Poor Sev. They did need to give Harry that potion. The boy was about to lose it! But yeah, it was a pointless effort. Once Harry had Sev and Voldy in his mind...nope no more sleep for him. Poor boy. Oh that was indeed a whapper of a line. Poor Sev, being shocked like that. Now...how did our evil Voldy know about that? Hmmm No clues though! Of course no clues. Why would you even ask? :oP I'm so happy you were feeling it with Harry. He truly did lose it, didn't he? Poor, poor Harry. I too loved Harry calling Sev dad, just because it came ripping out and not caring who was around to hear it. YAY! What can I say? I don't want to believe he's dead either. :o( LOL You and PK are just too funny, by the way. Oh, and I wish you could give me lots more frogs too. Mmmmm....chocolate frogs! :o)

Actually, I do want to know exactly happens to you when you read the next chapter. I am almost giddy with excitement! :o) Next chapter will be up by tomorrow at the latest as it's almost done and really, I can't stand the wait either! LOL It'll be a shorter one but I think you'll all enjoy. :oP I'm glad you felt Harry was expressing himself so well. That makes me happy! |
