Reviews For Lily's Charm
Author's Response: THANK YOU!!!THANK YOU!!!THANK YOU!!! :)
I'm enjoying this story so much! It’s really evolving, I’ve got all caught up in it. Thank you for sharing it and I’m really looking forward to reading the next chapter :) Author's Response: Thanks so much for reviewing. I know what you mean; it was really painful to write. I actually teared up when I wrote the end of chapter 8. Some much pain for Severus. I'm glad you are liking it so much. The next chapter should be up soon!
Author's Response: Thank you for the review. I had to reread chapter nine to figure out what you were referring to, so I hope I understood correctly. I assume you were talking about Harry not getting angry with Remus after Remus apologized for not telling Harry about Snape and Lily. I think we have to remember that Harry had just gone through a terrible emotional ordeal and he was in no shape to argue further. And the fact is, Remus does have a good point. What was he supposed to say about Lily and Snape, especially when it was not his story to tell? Remus didn't know that Snape and Lily were married. He did know that James and Lily had married for something like protection for Lily and yes, he knows that Lily loves Snape, but I think too that Remus, given that he seems the kind of man who just wants everything to work out (and the fact that supposedly Lily and James had been close enough to produce a baby), he believed that Lily loved James as well. And the bottom line is that Remus thought James was Harry's father, not Snape. If he had known, and he still didn't tell Harr, then yes his actions would have been indefensible, but as it is, I don't believe they are. Remember too that once Harry thought Remus had known more than he actually did, Harry was quite a bit more angry. Same goes for Dumbledore, if he fact does not know Lily lied to Snape. As to Harry having no backbone, I actually think Harry did quite well for himself as he did flatly refuse to resume Occlumency with Snape. He even went so far as the turn his back on both Remus and Dumbledore and walk out. He was not inclined to defy McGonagall the next night but he went to Dumbledore's office fully intending to refuse again. And, in all actuality, Dumbledore could not have insisted as you are right...it would be completely wrong of all of them. And, you are right, Remus has no say in Harry's life but if you you were referring to Remus' telling Harry not to defy the Headmaster, I think that is simply Professor Lupin telling Harry not to be impertinent, much as McGonagall did later. And, yes Harry is nearing adulthood but he is not an adult and I think it is perfectly acceptable for the adults in his life to expect respect from him, even when Harry is too stubborn and angry to give it. I do appreciate your sentiments and thank you for giving me something to think about. Hopefully, I explained myself well enough. Hope you keep enjoying the story!
I can't wait for an update! Anyway, you're characterization is great! I love how easy-going and sometimes insecure Severus is around Lily, you can tell that he loves her. And Lily, she's such a headstrong, firey Griffindor! Love her! Harry's reactions are also right on, and I loved him dragging Ginny into the pensive back in chapter...2, 1? Yeah, it was great, whenever it happened! I'm really liking the 'mystery' of it all too, with Severus' mother being a right foul git! It adds a certain spark of dread that underlines all their lives. It also works perfectly how you're working back and fourth from then and present time...well, 1996. I really can't wait to see what you've got cooking up in the dungeons for these characters! I really do like the increased relationship between Remus and Harry and am looking foward to seeing what you've got planned for Draco (and why he's in such a bad mood)!! Well, until next chapter! (Although I must congradulate you for taking over my concious thoughts for today as I foolishly decided to read some fanfiction bofore going to class today and couldn't concentrate on a thing! Well, it's homework time now!) Looking forward to chapter 10...whenever it comes, which is hopefully soon!! Author's Response: Wow. What an amazing review. Thanks so much for the compliments! I have been reading Severus and Harry stories for awhile now and finally got up the nerve to try one of my own. It is so fun. If you ever decide to give it a try, think of me for a beta. I would love to help someone write a story! Okay, let's see: I love writing about Severus/Lily. I'm glad you like the way they are turning out. And I loved that part too with Ginny going with Harry into the Pensieve. It was fun. I adore Ginny/Harry pairings so it was a must. Thanks for the comment about the evil Eileen. She is dreadful, isn't she? I'm glad you liked the back and forth between time periods. That was really to "set the stage" so we won't have more stand-alone Lily/Snape years for awhile (as I don't want to interrupt the flow right now as well) though we'll still see plenty of them, I think. Don't worry, Draco is coming up next. Glad you like Remus and Harry growing closer too. I think that was seriously lacking in the Canon stories, you know? Sorry that you couldn't concentrate but actually, I'm thrilled that you liked my story so much that you were distracted! :) The next chapter should be up tomorrow as it is just about finished. Thanks for reviewing and sorry for the ramble, but what can I say, I love reviews!
Author's Response: Thank you for the review and the nice compliments as well. I really have enjoyed writing Severus' past with Lily so I'm glad you like it. And, don't worry, Draco is up next with some more fun in Potions class. Chapter 10 should be up tomorrow as it is almost done! Hope you keep enjoying!
Author's Response: Thanks so much for the review. I think chapter 9 was just validated and up, so you won't have to wait too long to find out more! Thanks for the compliment and I'm so glad you are enjoying the story. The next chapter will be in up in the next couple of days. Enjoy!
Author's Response: Sorry! :) Don't worry, the next chapter will be up soon. Thanks for reveiwing.
I'm glad you've included Remus here, and let him and Harry have more of a relationship. And now Harry and Severus learn the truth! Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing again! I'm glad you liked Remus' inclusion; we'll be seeing lots more of Harry and Remus throughout the story. I love the two of them being closer than they were in the books. Hope you keep reading and enjoying the story!
I can understand Severus' initial feelings of reluctance about the baby even without understanding what Lily's charm is about. It's a dangerous time to bring a baby into the world. But I was glad that he accepted it so well, and was happy. Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing. I'm glad you like it so far. It was really fun to write Severus finding out he and Lily having a baby. I hope you keep enjoying!
Author's Response: Thanks so much for the review. Thank you for the compliment. I have four new chapter, just waiting to be validated and uploaded. Hope you keep reading and enjoying! |
