    Last chapter's end, I was like: So THAT'S where your title came from!

    So anyway, I haven't reveiwed since chapter 9, should be concidered a crime, lol. So, this story is going very well, it's interesting and entertaining. I hope the Snapes and Harrys can get along, poor Other Snape and Other Harry seem a bit lost without the other. Then of coarse, Snape and Harry both suffer from thoughts of Lily. Sad. But, this stroy looks like it's going to brighten soon, yay. I hope Snape saves Other Harry from the dreaded Dursleys of doom! Great story, PLEASE post again soon!

    Thank you!  There's going to be some ups as well as downs.  And I'll update as soon as I can.  Chapter 13 is a long one--6000+ words at last count--so it's taking longer to edit.  But I should have it up in a day or two.  Or three.  But definitely soon!  :D

    holly crap darlin this story is amazing! i just learned about this site and i have been reading every story since!! i think that you may have one of the best time travel stories out there. even though its not really time travel lol you get what i am saying.. for the future though, i would let the readers know what timeline/what harry it is. it would make the story a little more understandable. i hope that you continue to write this. i think that you are an amazing writer and good luck to you if you ever decide to write a book for real. cheers and big hugs! ~Andrea.

    Thank you!  Yeah, this site is awesome.  It's so rare to find a site that captures both the feel of a small community and has a large number of readers and reviewers.  In fact, this is the only HP gen fic site where I've found that. 

    I haven't thought of this as a time travel story.  It does have a sci fi feel to it with the parallel worlds, though.

    I added titles to the parallel universe chapters to help clarify things.  But I'm conflicted about it.  I've moved away from author notes because it takes the reader out of the story.  I hate to break into the created world to announce, "this is the canon universe!"  On the other hand, there are excellent published novels that announce at the beginning of each chapter that they are switching time periods or places.  I suppose I should just suck it up and do it.  :)  And then I could add titles to all my chapters, which I've wanted to do.

    Thank you for the encouragement!  I've been writing original fiction and was reluctant to get back into writing fanfiction, but I've learned so much from this experience.  Let's hope this will be the thing to finally get me over the hump and into the land of publishing.

    Awesome chapter! Wow, this Harry really has changed, and perhaps not for the better. I can only imagine that staying at the Dursley's will make him a lot worse. More broody, and closed in. Wow what a mistake. I wonder what it will be like for him, and how Snape will find him, and what he'll be like. this story is really capturing my imagination, and I am really, really enjoying it. Thank you so much for the quick and speedy updates! Great job!

    Harry is dealing with reality now, and trying to understand who this Snape really is.  Snape did blunder here, but he just wasn't prepared to deal with who this Harry is.

    You let that poor, innocent, never-been-harmed, Harry go to the Dursleys!

    Severus is going to get a Patronous asking for help before the week is out. If Harry doesn't blast the Dursleys into next week.

    The poem was nicely enigmatic. Dumbledore's advice was satisfyingly cryptic. But I can't stand the thought of this Harry spending any time at all with the Dursleys. I know he is pretty tough from dealing with his mother, but he's not used to living with people who hate him. sigh.

    Author's Response: There were a few puzzlers in this chapter.  I was trying to go for a balance between obviousness and complete confusion.  "Enigmatic" works for me.  :) 

    Since several people have mentioned the Dursleys, I should offer a warning/reminder: I wrote most of this before I read any adoption fics, so I didn't realize that Snape-saves-Harry-from-the-abusive-Dursleys was a common theme that was expected.  The Dursleys aren't out of character, but...hmm...well, that's all I'll say at this point.  Intriguing, no?  ;)

    That was an interesting passage that Snape found. Maybe he'll take the first step and move on from there since all Harry wants is to be around him. Great chapter and I hope you'll update again soon!

    It's been a long time since I tried to write anything similar to poetry.  I'm glad it came across as interesting.

    I think Harry also wants to get back to his family, but that's out of his control at the moment.  Another aspect of being thirteen-there are so many things out of his power to do, but he can at least grasp at what he sees as within his power to reach-being close to this Snape.

    For some reason, this story makes me really sad. I feel really bad for the AU Severus and Harry...both have lost their family - Severus has lost his son and poor Harry Snape: it's even worse for him - he has lost both his Dad and Mum and he's all alone...and headed for the DURSLEYS! Ack! The poor child isn't used to being treated badly. I hope Sev rescues him quickly!

    Author's Response: Hmm, can't really say much without spoiling future chapters.  But yes, both AU Harry and Severus are missing their families.
