i've been reading your story as you've been posting and i really wish i had reviewed as i read, because there was so much to mention and i can't remember it all. using the "river of dreams" song for your chapters was the kind of idea that a person sees and wishes they could have come up with themselves. i love, love, love your snape. i think it is my favorite portrayal of him. in my mind the mix of attitude and determination and grump and formality and absolute sarcasm make him perfect. i could only hope to write him so well. i also love the harry interaction. not to mention the story line itself is absorbing. as in it's 1 o'clock in the morning and i have to go to work in a couple of hours but i can't put it down absorbing. you have a wonderful gift. can't wait to read more. =)

Siberian Salamanders, eight for Madrid Manticores ... is this a hint to Honor Harington series? Oh, yes, and I like your story very much!

I have been really enjoying this story. Lots of wonderful, enjoyable snark and watching Harry's actions from Snape's perspective is very entertaining in a nerve-wracking way...
I imagine that Snape's injuries were caused by particularly virulent dark magic? Because otherwise they can just regenerate limbs and body parts. And if his eye can't be regenerated why didn't he bother to get a magical replacement ASAP? I am also not entirely sure why his better relationship with Harry is still supposed to be a secret. After all, he is not spying on Voldy anymore.
Well, in any case I am waiting for the next installment with bated breath. Good job!
brilliant plot. can't wait to see what happens next
Im SO very happy you updated! Another spectacular couple of chapters, I'm glad you posted two, it made me even more happy. These last two were especially entertaining, the comments cracked me up. I think your Chamber ideas were very good, very plausable. Excellant job, PLEASE update again soon! I'd be the happiest person in the world if you did.
wow... I just realized while reading this chapter that I can't recall a specific moment when Snape and Harry's relationship changed for the better. So congratulations on making the change very slow and subtle. It's a challenge to do that well!

I'm not done reading, so I'll be giving a nice long reveiw later, but I just HAD to say that that line “Well, you're not smart; you're dumb. Very dumb. But you've met your match in me.” was hilarious! Ah, glad you used it, though I myslef have never seen what it is from.
