Reviews For Slave Child
And I love long stories Author's Response: Thank you! I enjoy protective!Sev too. Glad you like long stories, cause I think this one will be!
Little-sun Author's Response: Thank you! A lot of readers on FF.N have been wanting Sev and Umbridge to face off, too. Right now, I just don't see that working in SC, but it would fit nicely into the sequel, so if I ever get this first story finished and write the sequel, I'll probably have Severus and Umbridge have a showdown then.
Author's Response: Thank you! I wondered if that line might be a bit much at this point, but I also do see Severus as being a person who feels very deeply, even if he is somewhat reticent about showing it, and with Harry being asleep, it helps him to open up. And I think once Severus did care for someone that he would be extremely protective.
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm just a big fluffy, mushy, angsty addict at heart!
Author's Response: Thank you! I'll try to update again pretty soon, but it may be a few days...I do have a family that sometimes complains about mom being on the computer all the time, lol.
Author's Response: Thank you! I'll try.
Can't wait for more chapters, keep them coming please ;) Cecilia Author's Response: Thank you so much for your wonderful comments! Yes, Severus has also been greatly affected by the spell, but in his case it is a positive change. He was content before, but only because he'd never really had someone to share his life with, someone that he could care for anyway, and he doesn't even realise yet how much that means to him. But he will. And yep, it can be tricky trying to work around the spell, but Severus is determined to be very careful.
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm so happy you like it! I will admit that this story is my favorite and its special to me, too. Thanks again!
Anyway, chapter fifteen is lovely. Also, it came rather quickly after chapter fourteen. Thank you for the alacrity of your updates. I think Harry's and Snape's relationship is developing quite believably and nicely. I loved the entire scene of Snape waking Harry all the way until he gave Harry his potions and sent him back to bed. I'm glad Snape is thinking more about the ramifications of the slavery spell and exactly what it means for Harry's life. The tickling spell was an interesting yet wise choice on Snape's part. I'm glad to see Harry begin to warm to Snape. And Snape is so very, very considerate. Almost ooc; but, that's okay; I like your Snape. I love the part where he resized Harry's robe. (Btw, I'm from the US, so I don't know for sure... but I've seen that sort of robe referred to as a dressing gown in most HP fics I read. Where I'm from we would say "bathrobe.")At any rate, it was caring and sweet for Snape to resize the robe for Harry. I just said Snape did something sweet. Can't believe it. ***grins*** I do hope that Snape learns about the fact that Harry is suicidal. If their relationship continues to grow in the same vein, then I'm certain Snape will be able to help. I am not certain that Snape could really help Harry with this at this point; but perhaps later. Thank you for sharing your writing. (Crosses fingers that I am actually able to submit this review.) Author's Response: Yay, it did go through! I'm sorry you're having so much trouble with posting and thank you for trying to hard...it does mean a lot to me! Are you a member? I don't know, but since it says 'anonymous' by your name, I'm thinking you're probably not. If you joined, it might be easier. Or I'm also posting "Slave Child" on Fanfiction.net if that's any easier for you. I know how frustrating it can be when you type something and then lose it, so I'm just trying to think of a way that might be better for you (and I love your reviews, too)! Yep, my Slave Child muse is going strong right now, but I'm afraid it may be a week or two before chapter 16 is up cause I really do need to work on "Potions Professor" next...though I'm brimming over with ideas for the Defense lesson and some other things for "Slave Child" and it's going to be hard to make myself wait, lol! I'm happy you're liking the interaction between Sev and Harry! Heh, maybe Severus is OOC, but I just can't seem to help it. I guess because I'm too soft-hearted myself. Yep, you're right...I think the 'sleep-robe' might ought to be a 'dressing gown' (or bathrobe, it's what we say too). That was a fun little scene to write, and you wouldn't believe how long it took me to decide on how Severus should wake Harry. I finally decided the Tickling Charm was the nicest way...maybe not what Severus would have really chosen, but here and now, he is trying to repair things with Harry and is trying to be nice (or sweet, even though he'd have fits if he heard us). I don't know how well Severus could help Harry with the suicidal thoughts right now. I think he'd try, but his efforts might not be enough just yet. We'll probably begin to see in a few more chapters, though once I begin writing, things do tend to drag out longer than I'd originally expected. But I guess that's good since I'm trying to make SC be a long story...I just love long stories myself! Thanks again!
Author's Response: Thank you! I do love softie Sev! |
