Reviews For Slave Child
Author's Response: Thanks, Jan! Yeah, Harry did take it well, so far, but a big part of that is that he's still in shock and it hasn't really sunk in yet. Also, knowing that the spell has the power to kill or to cause excruciating pain would be a big motivating factor not to push its limits, don't you think? But after a rocky start, it won't be as terrible as Harry's afraid of right now.
Poor Harry. Author's Response: Thank you! Poor Harry, indeed. The next few weeks will be pretty rough on him, poor kid.
Author's Response: Thanks, OE! It was very difficult writing the last part of the chapter, where Harry learns about the spell. I had the hardest time trying to decide how he would react, so I'm really glad you liked it, though of course it's very sad for Harry right now. And though now, the 'parent and child' roles are against their will, one day that will change. Yeah, Draco does need to get his come-uppance, doesn't he?
Author's Response: Thank you!
I did love Severus' house elves too!! They're perfect at balancing out his demeanor and they do a lovely job of it! I'm also glad that it was Severus who visited the Dursleys and enjoyed how Severus' view of Harry is beginning to be challenged. Hopefully Harry isn't too hard on the man and they can grow to appreciate each other (sooner rather than later!)...however everyone else is saying how patiently they're waiting...so...I guess I'll wait patiently too. *sigh* Really looking forward to another chapter here and in PP!! Keep writing!!
'twas a great chapter, and you shocked me too the core with the last line "Harry is enslaved to you, Severus" call me stupid but I hadn't expected that though I probably should have with "slave child" as the title xD *is waiting impatiently far next chapter* Author's Response: Thank you! Yep, the title was kind of a giveaway, wasn't it? Though by the end of the story, if anyone didn't know better, they'd probably think the situation was reversed, cause Severus will end up being quite devoted to Harry's well-being. I don't suppose that's really a spoiler, since I did say that the fic would eventually be a Snape-adopts-Harry story. Thanks again!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'll try!
Can't wait to see Snape's reaction to Dumbledore's news. I imagine he might be speechless at first. Take care and update soon. I'm loving the story! Author's Response: Thank you! Yes, if anyone can keep Severus in line, it's Norie and Zan. They've known him since he was a child after all, and they're all really very fond of one another, so they're not the least bit intimidated. I think it will take more than Norie to get Sev to warm up to Harry, but he'll get there. The pieces are falling into place, Severus can just be a little stubborn when it comes to admitting he was wrong about something. |
