    Thanks for the update! It always brightens my day when I see that Slave Child is up!

    I liked this chapter a lot--You have to admit that Harry is a determined young man--at least when it comes to his friends.

    Very nice chapter. :D I like how Harry shows a bit of an interest in Draco's art book. They're certainly growing closer as a family I would say. The part with Harry and Ginny was rather funny. Great job as always.

    Author's Response: Thank you, LL!  I'm enjoying adding in the little bits of art, too, so I'm glad you're enjoying it.  I hope it gives a little more dimension to the characters, and you never know...the 'interest in art' angle might come into play in a more important way at a later point, and if it doesn't...well, maybe it made the characters a little more well-rounded.

    Urrrffff.....I do hope the end won't be anti-climatic. Kudos on a well written chapter. Hope the Yule Ball goes okay for Harry and Draco.

    Author's Response: Thank you!  Well, I hope the end won't be anti-climatic too.  Some people might think it is and hopefully most will be satisfied.  But all I can do is write the story the way I've imagined it and do my best.  The Yule Ball will begin in chapter 71, but at the rate I'm going, it may fill two chapters.  But that's ok with me, I'm not in any rush.  I love SC and I'd probably be happy to keep writing it forever, lol.

    This chapter kept me on the edge of my seat, thinking that Draco would impose his own condition on Harry: If Draco agreed to hang with Harry's friends, then Harry would have to forego the Polyjuice. And it DIDN'T happen! You really had me fooled! But Draco really is trying to be a true friend to Harry, and that's what matters. Now, off to the Ball! SOMETHING is BOUND to HAPPEN!!! ;-)

    Author's Response: Thanks again, shadowienne!  Yeah, Draco is trying.  He certainly is not perfect, but he does want to become a better person and he's trying to be a good friend to Harry.  Now, what makes you think something will happen at the Ball...*evil grin*?

    Contrary to most people's opinion I think Harry should NOT go as himself to the ball. If he is in disguise he can test the pupils' attitude towards "Harry" yet avoid a direct confrontation. Should he feel so he can still show himself later and if not no harm will be done. The most important thing is to encourage him to go out again at all.

    Brilliant writing as always. Can't wait for the next instalment!

    Author's Response: Thank you!  Yes, I agree with what you said about Harry going in disguise.  Of course I know why people want so much for him to go as himself, but Harry has such strong feelings against going out as himself that I think it would be unrealistic for him to just suddenly change his mind without something drastic happening.  And yeah, right now, just getting him out from Prince Hall at all is a big step.  But I do have plans for the Yule Ball, so we'll see what happens there.

    Dear Kristeh, I noticed that you were having some trouble from the shoutbox and that you deleted a chapter that had some reviews. Since it happened recently enough, I was able to go in and find the probable chapter ID number, and find the orphaned reviews. I have added them to this chapter, so none of them should be lost now. Sorry that you had any trouble!

    Sometimes the more popular stories show an error when they are updated, even though the chapter posts correctly. If you ever see an error it is a good idea to go to the story index page and see if the chapter was added before trying to upload again. I'm not sure if that is what happened to you, but it's a guess. Happy writing!
