Reviews For Slave Child
Author's Response: Thank you!
I hope that Remus will acknowledge Harry's feeling and that the two of them can work things out. Author's Response: Thank you! Having the father/son relationship continue to grow and become stronger, and to face new difficulties, is probably the biggest challenge in writing SC now, but also the greatest enjoyment for me. Thank you!
Author's Response: Thank you!
Author's Response: Thank you! Don't worry, Harry and Remus will eventually talk things through, but I felt that the timing wasn't right yet. Severus and Dumbledore were there observing, and Remus especially, is a bit inhibited when it comes to talking about emotions. I think Remus is afraid to get very close to people and, while he's kind, he prefers to keep his relationship with Harry strictly teacher/student, with some emotional distance between them.
Author's Response: Thank you, Morgana! I'm happy that you enjoyed the chapter. There was a lot of emotional stuff going on here, with Harry and Severus growing even closer and Harry helping to heal Severus, with the Harry and Remus reunion, and Draco so traumatized. I'm also trying to portray some foreshadowing for future plot events (some action again!) with Greyback. It was kind of draining to write, lol, but I enjoyed it so I'm happy that you liked it too.
Author's Response: Thank you! I think that Remus is basically a kind person, too, but I also think he has a lot of issues in letting himself become close to others, stemming both from insecurities caused by being a werewolf and more importantly, from losing so many people he loved in such shocking and terrible ways. He lost two close friends, who were like family, to murder and another to betrayal. So I think Remus has some things that he needs to work through too. While he cares for Harry, I think he has deliberately kept emotional distance between them and has tried to keep from becoming genuinely close. Thanks again!
Author's Response: Thank you! I tried to portray the reunion between Harry and Remus as awkward, with Harry not sure what to feel or expect. More about Draco and his troubles in the next chapter.
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you liked it.
Author's Response: Thank you! I'll try. |
