Reviews For Slave Child
Author's Response: Thank you! I never really liked canon Draco much either. He had potential to change and redeem himself, but imo, he never really managed it. I did learn to like fanon Draco, at least some versions of him, and decided to see what I could do with him in a story. I'm happy if he's beginning to reach you too.
Great chapter--I'm glad to see that Draco is really thinking about things. V. Author's Response: Thank you! I hope reading isn't too painful for you, lol!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm so happy that you're still enjoying it.
Author's Response: I can't resist either, lol. Thank you!
And then poor Harry, who feels threatened by Draco's presence and the amount of time that Severus is required to spend with Draco also. I sincerely hope that Severus can find a solution so that both boys needs are met. I feel so sad, but hopeful at the same time. I think that if anyone can find a solution to satisfy both boys needs, it will be Severus! Oh, and I can see change beginning to blossom in Draco, which is very heartening. He is still going to need constant guidance, but it is a very encouraging sign that he told Severus that he didn't like the actions of Voldemort, or his followers. I hope that Draco can stay on the path of the straight an narrow, and that Severus can find someone who'll be able to focus their attention solely on him. Both boys need that stable, strong father-figure. Great great chapter Kristeh. I can't wait to read the next chapter. Author's Response: Thank you, Pandora! I was really hoping to portray both boys in a sympathetic light. I know full well that some people just don't like Draco and that's ok...there are some characters that I don't like and don't sympathize with also, and some people consider his actions towards Harry to be unforgivable. While they certainly have a right to their opinion, I do think that's a little harsh towards a 16 yr. old kid who, in this story, was also a victim of abuse and neglect. I think what makes me see Draco as redeemable is that he didn't know what the slavery spell when he cast it, and he wouldn't have if he had known, and when he went to the papers, he was still suffering so from the aftermath of his mother's murder and from being tortured by DEs, that he almost wasn't in his right mind...at least he was in a lot of pain and he lashed out without thinking. It's not admirable, but I think it is understandable...sort of. But some other changes are coming for our boys, so there's still a lot to work out.
Thanks again!
Author's Response: Thank you!
Author's Response: Oh, thank you! It's hard to write Sev as being kind and loving to Harry, but still having some snark to him, so I hope I did okay. Thanks again.
Author's Response: Thank you, Kim! Well, you know how I feel about my Harry, lol.
Author's Response: Thank you! You can never have enough warm fuzzies, lol!
Author's Response: Thank you! I really enjoyed writing that little snippet of a potions lesson to show how different things are now with Severus and Harry, so I'm really happy you liked that part. |
