Reviews For Slave Child
Also, I thought you did alright with the action and stuff. I am also weak in that area. I really hate writing action and fighting scenes. So kudos to you! :D Author's Response: Thank you! Yes, I like the emotional scenes much better.
Love this story! Why'd I wait so long to read it??? ;-) Author's Response: Yeah, Sev's getting soft, isn't he, lol? I'm happy you're enjoying it.
Author's Response: Thank you! Glad you liked it, and you have a Merry Christmas too.
Author's Response: Thank you! I think Draco is feeling badly inside...but he has a difficult time admitting it still.
Ugh, Draco. He's so emotionally frustrating. One moment you want to hate him for the words he spewed, and the next you're concerned for the boy. I'm curious to see what's wrong with him now. It doesn't sound like it was a simple nightmare. Great chapter, and I hope that really soon there'll be some progress made on freeing Harry. Author's Response: Thank you, Ella! And yes, you're exactly right...Harry did need some time alone with Severus. And yep, that's exactly how Draco is right now, but that's how I think he would be acting. He has a lot of emotions and feelings, and some changes going on inside right now, but he isn't quite ready to admit guilt and remorse aloud yet. But since SC is primarily from Harry's POV, with a bit of Severus, it may not be quite as obvious what's going on in Draco's head yet. It's been pretty difficult to write, but I think things will begin to change soon. As for freeing Harry, well...there have been guesses about that, and some people have been right. I only hope readers won't feel cheated about my plan, but it has been in the works for some time now.
Author's Response: Happy Holidays to you, too. Ah well, to each his own, as the saying goes.
Great chapter still, I do love the way you nail Harry's emotions every time and I love your fatherly Sev, I only hope I can get a nicer Sev right the way you have ^-^ And I hope you have a great christmas too! Author's Response: Hey, sproutchild! Well, it's not the best for Harry yet, but I do plan for things to get better pretty soon. As for Mr. Draco, well...I knew he wasn't going to come across as too sympathetic in this one, but his 'dramatics' are not because of his punishment or having to do some chores. He is traumatized because of his mother's death, his experience with Dolohov and Greyback, losing Severus and feeling all alone. But, being Draco, it's hard for him to show vulnerability or pain. He's lashing out, like a wounded animal right now. Also, his talk is defensiveness, because deep down he has realized that he did a horrible thing in casting that spell on Harry and telling the public...but again, it's too hard for him to admit his remorse and guilt yet. So he's being very defensive about it all. Anyway, I'm sure you'll do great when you begin showing Severus in a softer light in 'Antonomasia'...and speaking of that, lol, when do you think that might be? I literally can't wait! Merry Christmas!
Author's Response: Aw, sorry about that...but now, I don't think I deserve to be called a Scrooge now, do I? I mean, the Grinch is sort of cute, in a hideous sort of way, lol...but Scrooge? Thank you!
Author's Response: Well, you know they say the darkest hour is just before dawn! Thank you.
I think that Harry is really mature beyond his years, and is really a selfless and compassionate person. For him to even be willing to talk to Draco, shows great stength of character. I believe that with Severus' guiding srength, that Harry will eventually be able to handle facing his peers and hopefully return to school eventually. I think that this time is important for Harry to heal, and for him and Severus to have time to really get to know each other, and although Draco is perhaps intruding on their time together, I think that maybe him being there, will be the catalyst for Harry to eventually forgive Draco, and be able to heal his emotional wounds. I feel terrible for Draco, but I hurt for Harry as well. I think that Draco just does not have the emotional capacity right now to really understand the ramifications of his actions. I love that Severus is such a tower of strength for both boys. He has really come a long way, and I'm very pleased that Harry has him now. In a strange sort of, very bizarre way, Draco is right. If not for the slavery spell, Harry and Severus would still hate each other, and Harry wouldn't have such a loving, caring father. It's a shame though, that the price is so high, but perhaps a reversal to the spell can be eventually found, and Harry can finally have what he deserves; a loving father, who truly cares for him, without having to endure the horrible slavery spell to have, what Harry should have had all along. Oh Kristen, you left us with a cliffie again!! I can't wait for the next update. Oh...and Happy Holidays, and take a well-deserved rest, and then please update soon, because I'm just dying to know if Draco is alright, and what the next crisis will be! Whew, I just can't stop chattering about this wonderful chappie. Brilliant as usual. Looking very forward to the next one. Author's Response: Thank you, Dawn, what a lovely review! You have a great insight into what's going with the characters too. Hope to see some more of your wonderful stories soon too! |
