Love this story. I thought the dynamics might change when they all got back to Prince Hall, but you write so well that it feels just right. And how amazing Snape is - strict but fair with Malfoy, but still so supportive of Harry.

Author's Response: Thank you so much!  I'm really happy that you feel it's all working out; that means a lot to me.

    Yay update! ^^
It would sort of nullify Draco's punishment if Harry ended up doing half the work wouldnt it? ^^ Loved this chapter (as I have all the others, this is definitely one of my favourite Snape/Harry fics ever ^^) I especially love your Snape, he's so... gentle, with Harry I mean, you write a gorgeous gentle Snape ^^
As for Draco, it's interesting to see how he's coping with his situation now (is coping too strong a word? ^^). Cant wait to see how his relationship with Harry progresses from here (and of course more gorgeous gentle Snape ^^)
    Looking forward to more ^^
Have fun and smile heaps x

Thank you, sproutchild, and I'm looking forward to your next chapter, too!

    >>>It would sort of nullify Draco's punishment if Harry ended up doing half the work wouldn't it?

Well, I'm not saying that Harry will ever offer to do any of Draco's work, or if he did, that he would end up doing half.  I don't know yet.  I have main events already planned, but sometimes smaller details just work themselves out as I write.  Should Harry ever help Draco with any of his chores?  Some people will be outraged if he does, and others may say it's all right.  Perhaps one way to look at it is to ask, which matters more...for Draco to be fully punished to the hilt, or to do things which might help him to grow and be a better person?  Justice or mercy, or is there a way to work out some combination?  Individual people will feel differently, and perhaps every answer has some right and some wrong in it.

And I love writing Severus and Harry and I'm so happy you enjoy them.  Thanks again.

Hmm...poor Draco? lol im confused, if he didnt know about staying away from Harry then I feel kinda bad for him, but should I? after what he did to Harry...hmm I guess im a happy ending lover that just hopes that Draco can be redeemed hehe :)

Author's Response: Thank you!  Well, I hope it's a good thing if the story can get people to think and consider options and differing POVs.  I love it when a story really makes me think and can present a situation where there are shades of grey and controversaries.  I am a happy-ending lover, too, though, if that gives you any hints!

    Another amazing chapter Kristeh.

Harry is the most selfless, considerate teenager, isn't he? After everything that Draco has put him through, Harry still feels compassion for Draco and actually feels guilty that him and Severus are relaxing, while Draco is working.

I especially loved how Severus made Harry realise that it is ridiculous that he feel any guilt over his treatment at the hands of the Dursleys, and I loved how he made Harry see that if it were some random child that Harry learnt had been mistreated, he would be appalled at the abusive treatment he'd received at the hands of people who were supposed to love and protect him as their own son, and yet abused their power.

I also love how close Severus and Harry are becoming.

I can't wait for the next chappie Kristeh. I'm so excited, and sitting on pins and needles to see more of Harry and Draco interact.

Author's Response: Thanks Pandora!  I do love Harry and think that he is an awesome kid.  I couldn't help but think that, despite everything, Harry would remember his own past when he had to do all the work at Privet Drive and would feel some guilt.  He would never want to be like the Dursleys or to treat anyone as he was treated.  And I love writing Severus and Harry...they're the best part of the story and the whole reason I write.  Thanks again, and I'm eager for more of your stories, too!

This has to be one of my very favorite chapters. I think it's because you were so worried about how people would take Draco's introduction into the household but you certainly needn't have worried, you accomplished it very well and didn't detract from Harry at all. I see Draco as a welcome addition to this household because of how you've written this, when I usually only see him as an interloper, someone people who hate Harry, Ron and Hermione include as their real story. Your story is not like that and I love you for that. That, and it's so well written you can't help but be enthralled by it, page by page. Very believable chapter. Very nasty cliff hanger. I'm am, as always, a huge fan!

Author's Response: Thank you so much, Kim!  Well, Draco is more difficult for me; I have a harder time getting inside his head than Harry's and Severus', but I try.  And of course I love Harry and Ron and Hermione!   Thanks again; I really appreciate all your help and encouragement.

OMG. Awwww! I loved this Chapter to death. I mean, this whole story has been awesome so far, but this chapter = THE BEST EV-er! :D Thanks, for sharing your talent and your story.

Author's Response: Oh, thank you!  I'm happy you're enjoying it.

I've really been enjoying this story thus far. I really like how the slave charm has effected harry's emotions and decisions. I only have one thing nagging at the back of my mind; Will Ginny prove to Harry that his status doesn't matter to her, or is she going to do nothing and never get together with Harry?

Author's Response: Thank you!  I'm happy you're enjoying it.  Well, romance is never going to play much of a role in Slave Child, or my other stories because I greatly prefer writing gen fic and focusing on Harry and Severus.  That being said, I am going to write an event around Christmas, perhaps a Yule Ball or just a party of some kind, where Harry needs a date.  I am not completely sure who, but am leaning towards Ginny because I have already had Harry notice that she was very pretty back at King's Cross when they were boarding the Hogwarts Express.  This event will be the catalyst for a discussion about dating and marriage in the future.  Thanks again!

I just wanted you to know...

I read this last night and this is such a fantastic cliffhanger with so many possibilities (both good and bad!) as to what Draco's doing in Harry's room and what he's up to... that I ended up dreaming about this story! I woke up still thinking about Draco and what he's doing there.

So... just thought you ought to know. I'm really enjoying this story! :)

Author's Response: Wow, thank you!  I've dreamed about HP before too, but the dreams were always so vague, or at least  I couldn't really remember them once I woke up.
