Reviews For Slave Child
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I appreciate it.
Author's Response: Thank you! Yes, Severus has softened up a lot towards Harry, hasn't he?
Author's Response: Thank you so much for your thoughtful comments. I had hoped with this situation to have a conflict where there was some right and wrong on both sides, and where both characters' feelings and motivations could be sympathetic, or at least understandable. I'm sorry you think Severus is abusive here...I don't think he is being abusive (and he certainly does not intend to be), but he is perhaps being too harsh. Harry and Severus still have some things to talk about here, such as exactly why Harry needed to play so badly, how Quidditch and flying make him feel free and how much it means to his feelings about his self-worth. I think Severus will realize that perhaps he was a bit harsh and he will relent on certain parts. And yes, the whole conflict might have been avoided with some potion or other, but that wouldn't have made for a very interesting situation. I guess I sacrificed a bit of logic for the plot, lol.
Author's Response: Thank you! I loved that part at the end, too!
Author's Response: Thank you! Yeah, I think just about all parents have doubts sometimes, and yeah, they still need to talk about some things. Glad you liked the ending!
Great chapter! Author's Response: Thank you so much! And you're exactly right; Severus does know that Harry deals with feelings of inferiority but he doesn't understand yet how playing Quidditch ties in with that. They're going to discuss that in the next chapter and they will come to understand one another better. Thanks again!
Great chapter Author's Response: Thank you! Oh, Severus would really appreciate that, because he's feeling a lot of doubt and guilt right now.
Loved everything about it, and loved the mush at the end. Author's Response: Thank you, Pandora! Glad you liked it.
Author's Response: Thanks, Pandora. I think Harry shouldn't get off scot-free, but I do think Severus might have been a little harsh. I can say that Harry does feel really terrible about it all and that he is determined to never let Severus down again, or at least try his best not to.
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'll try! |
