    Poor Harry! and poor Severus, finding out that Harry is still so insecure.

    Author's Response: Thank you!  Yes, poor guys, both of them.  I think it did hit Severus hard that Harry could still fear him and be uncertain about their relationship, but Severus is a pretty determined person.  I think he'll get through to Harry sooner or later.

    Poor Harry, his self esteem is right through the floor isn't it? im glad that he has Severus there to reassure him and love him and just generally be all smushy lol : )

    Author's Response: Thank you!  And yeah, Harry does have low self-esteem, but who wouldn't in his case?  Poor kid.  He really does need Severus, and Severus needs him too, so maybe they can help each other.  And smushy is always good, lol!

    Oh poor Harry, but I understand Severus' anger. He truly cares about him, and doesn't want to lose him.

    You know when I first starting reading this story, I thought that it would be really depressing, but you have managed to make us feel happy that Harry finally has someone who cares.

    I still really want the slavery spell to be lifted, it would make me really really really happy--really! ;)

    I will be so sad when this story ends; did you say that you were going to write a sequel? :)

    Author's Response: Thank you!  Yes, Severus wasn't really so much angry as he was frightened and it just came out as anger.  I'm glad you feel that way about the story; I was hoping to be able to make it uplifting in spite of the very serious and sensitive subject matter.  As for the slavery spell being lifted...well, at first I said it probably wouldn't be, but I'm reconsidering that.  I'm leaving all the options open and playing around with different scenarios, though I think I know how it will work out...but it probably won't be resolved until the sequel.  Yes, I do think I'm going to write a sequel.  Thanks again!

    Great chapter!!! Such angst. Poor Harry thinking he'd ruined everything and that Severus would want to get rid of him while Severus is just responding as any parent would to being worried and scared.

    Looking forward to their discussion.

    Thank you!  Yeah, poor Harry.  There are a lot of things about a parent/child relationship that he just doesn't quite understand yet, but maybe he'll learn.

    Great way of showing the father son interaction between Severus and Harry. I loved the way Harry was like a little kid, wanting Severus to see his cool broom stuns XD

    Author's Response: Thank you!  I liked Harry being so excited about Severus seeing him, too.  But he never did have anyone like a parent who might enjoy his accomplishments before.  Too bad it was kind of spoiled, lol.

    I've just discovered your story and I really like it. I like how you characterised Severus : he is fiercely protective, and I think it is coherent with canon (he did stay faithful to Lili's memory for years).
    I can't wait for the next chapter, Harry has forgotten to leave a note before going outside... I guess Severus will get very worried...

    Author's Response: Thank you!  I'm so happy you're enjoying it!  I think Severus is very protective, too, and if only he could have gotten past his old anger and let go of his bitter grudge, I think he could have been a great caretaker and father figure.  He seems like the kind of person who would be very devoted once he'd let a person into his heart.  I'm going to work on the next chapter this weekend.
