Reviews For Slave Child
Author's Response: Thanks! Yes, it was good for Harry to get out, have a relaxing time with his friends, just like any other kid. Back close to the beginning, there was a part where Ron had invited Harry over, and Harry had to write back and say no, and he feared that he wouldn't get to see his friends anymore, so I wanted to show that that isn't happening, that Severus is trying really hard to give Harry what he needs, including his friends, even if it's hard for Severus himself. Thanks again!

Author's Response: Thank you very much! What do you want to know about the horcruxes...maybe I could tell you if you really want to know. As for the history of dark wizards, yes, Voldie is dead, but unfortunately there will always be dark and dangerous wizards. There was Grindelwald (sp?) before Voldemort, probably someone else before him. I think the books say that Voldemort was the most powerful dark wizard in a century...but that implies that there have been other powerful wizards too. SC isn't going to become a procession of one great dark lord after another, lol...I'd much rather concentrate on the emotional aspects than an action-based story, but there are still some rather powerful DEs out there and in the sequel, probably some of the ones from Azkaban are going to escape, be released, etc. But as for Harry thinking about needing to know the history, it's more because at this point, he's thinking he might become an Auror and he was just trying to decide which courses would be useful to him. He was kind of idly thinking that if he knew more about how other dark wizards were defeated, it might come in handy at some point. Thanks again!
I'm stocking up on tissues, even though I'm hoping I won't need them again! ;) I'm really excited about where Severus' and Harry's relationship is going. They are really beginning to interact like father and son. Please update soon; I'm really enjoying your story. Author's Response: Thank you! Well, I suppose I can't make any promises about the tissues, lol! >>>I'm really excited about where Severus' and Harry's relationship is going. Oh, thank you! Me, too, and they are very much like father and son now. I'll try to update again asap!
Author's Response: Thank you! I'll try!
Is there no way for there to be a potions instructor for the 1st - 3rd years. That way, Severus could take the advanced ones starting in the 4th year. By that time, the ones who really enjoy potions could be "weeded" out of the main group and placed in an advanced group. The rest could continue with the other instructor until they got to the point where they no longer needed to take potions. To have a potions master teach 11 - 13 years old is a waste. Looking forward to more. Author's Response: Thank you! I agree with you about it maybe being a nice idea to have an instructor for the younger ones and I've considered it. I may have that happen at some point. I also really do think that Severus would be much more content if he could concentrate on research and developing new potions, rather than instructing, so I do picture him leaving Hogwarts once Harry's finished there. But of course he'll stay until then, to be there for Harry. Thanks again!
Author's Response: Thank you! Yes, I think Severus has his own insecurities, too, definitely...he just does a better job of hiding them, even to himself at times. And no, I don't think Harry would leave him now either. It might be something for them to discuss in the future. Thanks again!
