Great job on the letters, I think actually writing them out worked really well, as opposed to just saying 'Harry wrote letters to yadda yadda yadda'.

God I love this story!! It makes my heart ache..which of course means you are doing a fabulous job!! I love that Severus is so thoughtful..and I love the anguish from Harry..beautifully written..update soon please!!
Author's Response: Thank you! severus has come a really long way, hasn't he? And 'anguished' fits Harry perfectly right now, poor kid. But he will begin to heal soon...what's the saying about when you hit rock bottom, there's no where to go but up?

i'm glad you went into detail in the letters, they are a perfect insight into harry's frame of mind at this point in the story. and they read (sadly) true to life for a suicidal person... eg. harry worrying about severus's wasted expenses when we know that would be the least of his concerns... this seems very realistic, suicidal people do tend to vastly underestimate the impact of their death on others...
i really hope you're not going to kill harry off. i think it would be the end of severus too, at this point.
Author's Response: Thank you! I actually quite enjoyed writing the letters, angst lover that I am, lol! I know about Harry thinking the money would be important to Severus. But he just doesn't really understand how much people do love him. He underestimates the love that even people like the Weasleys and Hermione have for him. He's just begun to think that Severus might care a little bit, but he doesn't understand the depth of Severus' feelings, not yet. Will Harry die? Now, you know I can't answer that, lol!
Ahh! Will Snape find out in time? Will Norrie and Zan find the letters and tell him about them before he leaves for Hogwarts? Or will there be a mad dash back to the manor...? Sorry, getting carried away. This is a really great chapter. I thought it was really nice how Snape was so gentle with Harry. And the 'smouldering fire' was great description. I found Ron's letter a bit cringy, but I know that sometimes things have just got to be said to those you love and then, yeah, things get cringy! Looking forward to the next update!

Yes, I'm really enjoying Sev and Harry at this point and am looking forward to the next few chapters especially. I wasn't sure about Ron's letter, but Harry is thinking that he's about to die and he does want Ron to know how he feels.

the chapter was really long and i am really happy about it...and now i agree with u that yes he can be really compassionate...u know what i am actually waiting for harry's suicidal feelings to surface up now infront of severus...the chapter was thouroughly enjoyable... awesome!!!!!!!!!!

I loved Snape and Dumbledore both in this chapter. They were both well written and well developed. I think this is my favorite chapter so far. It was full of love and angst and just sets the tone for what must be coming.

This was an amazing chapter. Severus was so real, his emotions were so good, it was as if he were a real person standing here in this room. I love how you developed this. The very first paragraph was amazing and it stayed amazing throughout.
