Reviews For Slave Child
I cried. On the last part I cried. It was so sad, so heartbreaking...poor Severus! Oh, I can't imagine how awful he must feel. But I love that you used the bit from Potion-itis in this. That's one of my absolute favorite stories, and it fits really well here. Oh, wow. Just wow. The whole thing was amazingly wonderful. I loved it. One of my favorite parts was when the Weasleys were trying to get Albus to let them take Harry, and Sev was being so territorial. "He's mine, Weasleys!" That was so in character for Severus. It was perfect. Well, I just wanted to tell you how awesome this was. I can't wait for chapter 22! I'm sure it'll be just as great. Your #1 Fan, -Elise Author's Response: Hi, Elise! Thank you! Yes, Severus does feel badly right now, but though I feel sorry for him, I also think he deserves it, too. He was pretty awful to Harry for years. Heh, I was writing and before I knew it those lines just popped out of Ron's mouth. Then I thought, 'Well, it could fit here, too' so I left it. Yes, Severus is feeling a little insecure around the Weasleys now. It's an area he'll need to work on. Thanks again. I'd love to read more of your stories, too!
Author's Response: Thank you!
Author's Response: Thank you!
Author's Response: Oh, thank you! No, Harry won't be freed from the slavery spell just because of Voldemort's death. His thoughts about being free are referring to his decision to kill himself once he'd defeated Voldemort. Harry sees his death as a means of freedom right now.
Somebody kill that BellaBitch already Author's Response: Thanks! Yeah, Bella's pretty bad, isn't she?
Author's Response: Thank you! I'll explain more about how Harry killed Voldie in chapter 21, but it's really not a big secret or anything original. You can figure it out on your own probably. I did think Harry would find it hard to hide in safety when others are in danger, too. Thanks again!
I have the same question as another reviewer, which will wait to be resolved in maybe the next chapter? If Harry *does* die (even momentarily because I can't imagine you killing him off) how does this affect the slave bond? Poor Severus. He's so attached to Harry now I imagine he'll be going into a full fledge panic attack soon if Harry's looking like he's at death's door. Gee, think you can pump out another chapter as fast as you did this one? My fingernails may not survive it if you don't! Author's Response: Thanks, Cathy! >>>You really have mastered the evil cliffhanger, haven't you? I suppose so...that's what people keep telling me! I just stop when I think it's at a point that will keep people wanting more...can I help it if people call me evil, lol? The question about Harry dying and the effects on the slave bond is very interesting...and that's all I'm going to say about that! Yes, Severus is going to be all angsty, dealing with Harry's injuries and feeling regrets over his own actions...poor guy. I'll try to get the next chapter up soon. Thanks again!
Author's Response: Thank you! Well, I thought it might be a little more realistic if the good guys didn't come out of battle unscathed, but at least I didn't kill them off. >>>I was flabbergasted that you killed Voldemort already. Well, the story is about Severus' and Harry's relationship really. Voldemort's defeat is secondary, and it needed to happen before other events could. But there's still a lot planned...we're not close to the end. And yep, Harry's suicidal tendencies will become obvious before much longer.
By the way, I perfectly understand that you find it difficult to write action scenes. It's the same for me, well maybe for me it's the dialogues... anyway... I loved this chapter, really great as usual! Author's Response: Thank you so much! It's funny how we all have our preferences on reading and writing, isn't it?
Author's Response: Oh, thank you! So much needed to happen in this chapter, I was almost scared of writing it, so I'm really glad you enjoyed it. Well, 21 probably won't happen today, but I'll try to get it up before the weekend. |
