    Arhh..what a great ending. His dark eyes also chose...Harry was his boy too. You're a really good writer! I don't need to say anymore, it's brilliance speaks for itself, any fool can see that. Thanks for writing it and sharing it with us.

    Aww soooooo great! Where his voice sizzles like raindrops on hot pavement. That is such a great example of imagery and detailed language. Especially the idea that Harry is Snape's boy. And also the idea of Hedwig's owner before Harry- actually the entire thing really! Haha so well done you should be incredibly proud!

    Thank you!  The more I write, the more I truly understand the phrase "show, don't tell."  At first I thought it just meant, "don't summarize; show the action."  Now I realize I can show with imagery instead of telling what someone is feeling or doing.

    And I am proud of that raindrops imagery; thanks for noticing it!  :)

    Wow. I loved: "...their odd nestling, who looked and acted like an egg that hadn't quite hatched. Instead of venturing out and exploring, he remained huddled inside, practically sat on by his parents, who ought to realize he wasn't an egg any longer." Hedwig's POV is flawless, here - you make everything just right from her perspective. I like that Apparition is an 'undignified' way to travel, and that Harry is her child rather than she his bird.

    Adorable. All I would want is more of the same. :)

    Clearly Hedwig and Dumbledore see eye-to-eye on the raising of Dudley.  :)  I enjoyed having so much of Hedwig's understanding of humans come from the messages she delivers to them.  Letters and messages say a lot about relationships.

    Oh, I absolutly loved this! I looked at the pole and realized I hadden't read any of the featured stories. I decided this one looked promissing. I think I'll vote for this one, there is a high chance of it. It was quite interesting to be reading from Hedwig's point of view, but I enjoyed it. Her thoughts sounded very much to those she would have and they amused me. This was a very good story and I like how you brought Snape in it, seems very plausable. You did a really great job with writing this, brilliant and beautiful work! This definitly diserves a place on my favorites. Now, please continue 'Never Say Remember' ? ;)

    Thank you!  It was fun trying out such a different perspective.  I also liked the images of Snape in the snow and Hedwig on Snape's shoulder: pure white on inky black.

    I read this a while ago and realized that I never took a moment to let you know how incredibly beautiful it is. I was choked up with tears for quite a while after I read this. I feel like I step into a completely different world when I read your stories. :)

    Thank you!  I loved writing from Hedwig's perspective.  I kept meaning to answer this challenge, but was focused on my other fic.  Then we had a snowfall of big, fluffy flakes and it encouraged me to finally write this.

    Only my favorite writers cause me to step into another world, and it's amazing that you think the same of my writing.  That's incredibly inspiring.
