    Wow, Tobias is a walking, talking caricature of a child beater. This doesn't bode well for poor little Harry :(

    I find it hard to believe that Severus wouldn't've made alternate arrangements for child care in case he was unable to care for Harry. I don't know if you can fit this in your story, but it wouldn't surprise me if he had made arrangements in his will or some other legal document which has simply not come to light since he is not dead, but incapacitated. Regardless, Tobias hasn't even started in yet and I'm already hoping Severus will wake up soon!

    Author's Response: You're right and I was thinking along those lines, because Severus isn't stupid and the last thing he'd want is for his father to get custody of his son, but the Ministry jus took the easy way out--as they did in the books when they left JK's Harry with the Dursleys.  I was going to mention the provisional guardian part when Severus finally regains consciousness, which won't be for a couple of chapters yet.

    Tobias sounds like a huge jerk. Who the heck is Dumbledore kidding a longtime alcholic who's been "sober" for 3 weeks doesn't mean anything. Poor Harry is going to be in for a really rough go. At the end of this I wouldn't want to be in Dumbledore's shoes, something tells me we're going to have a dead Headmaster on our hands. Great work, can't wait for more, keep up the awesome work. LES

    Author's Response: Oh God, now that would be a switch--Snape killing Dumbledore because he sent Harry to live with Tobias!  Foolish old man!  Severus will not be happy at all when he wake sup and yes, you will be seeing that scene.
