Reviews For Lily's Charm: The Gift
I've lost track of time in the story. Is it during term? Hermione mentions having homework to do near the end, but this would mean both Harry and Severus are missing classes. If August was in the mainly-muggle village described earlier, is he a muggle-born? (Would be unusual for Slytherin.) The dialogue between August, Harry, and Ginny after the game didn't quite seem to follow, but perhaps I'm just a poor judge of such conversations. August's comment “You’ve got yourself a lovely girl, Harry” accompanied by a "rueful smile" would seem conciliatory to me, though Harry apparently expects something more. He does indulge his feelings quite a bit. Finally, a minor point: is it Chudley Canons, or Cannons??? Author's Response: Thanks Blackthorne. I appreciate the compliment about my ability to write different types of scenes. I don't really think about what needs to be; I just do it. :o) Is it is almost Christmas hols. And yes, both Severus and Harry are missing classes, but at this point with all that has gone on, even Severus doesn't care much about that. Harry was in desperate need of some time alone with his father. Yes, August is a Muggle born, and yes it is very unusual for a Slytherin. But he was put there mainly because of Severus. And as Severus explains in LC, there are all types in Slytherin. August was trying to be conciliatory. He was admitting his mistake but trying to keep face as well. Harry was just still feeling annoyed at him for trying to interest Ginny in the first place. I thought he was actually pretty nice to August. Harry, generous though he is, still would have liked to just smack him one. He doesn't of course, but no I don't think he would have wanted anything more except maybe an all-out, unprompted apology. LOL
What can I say--briliant as usual. Wow Harry is really getting hot and heavey with Ginny, is he? I just loved Sev's reaction! Ooh, and Harry got Auggie good, didn't he? Yep, Harry and Ginny are getting pretty serious, but Harry at least, has taken Severus' words to heart where their physical relationship is concerned. He's grown up quite bit. :o)
But of course, I like all this chapter. Although Mr. August and his story - and Severus' place in it - have made the biggest impression on me. I'll be thinking about it for months, I suppose. God, how I love this fanfiction. I'm delighted, really. And I'm waiting to more, of course ;-). Author's Response: Yep, August was a child from that village, which yes was mostly a Muggle village. I'm glad you liked that part; it was nice to be able to reveal a little more about Severus' time spent pretending to be in Voldemort's service. I'm delighted you made the connection. :o) The hero referred to in chapter 4 was a twist on words, really. It was referring to Harry at the moment being a hero to the wizarding world, but really to Severus for being a real hero when he tried his best to do what he could under very terrible circumstances. I'm glad this will stick with you; that's what I love to hear! Thanks so much for the lovely review. I will work on the next chapter and try to get it out as soon as possible.

MY cheeks are flaming red, and I'M and adult! Poor poor Harry, and evil evil Sev! I would so die of embarrassment! I love it though! I just knew that they were going to a Quidditch match, I could feel it in my bones. Please update soon, you have really got my curiousity peaked about your picture of the full-moon.
